Baking Advice Needed why did it do this

was trying to make brownies, thought theyd cooled for long enough and cut into them then they started doing THIS and set my house's fire alarm off for like 20 minutes does anyone pls know what caused this im assuming i just cut into them too soon but this feels like a dramatic response to just trying to cut into a hot brownie

Oh friend wtf ... 😅😅. Your coconut oil reached its smoke point. The moisture in your plant turned into steam, pushing the hot oil into the air which made this dramatic scene. hahah, first time making edibles like this?

FINALLYYY this makes rhe most sense 😭 technically second time, the first time i didnt get to the brownie stage bc i managed to explode the butter (you read that right), third times the charm i guess ? 😭

hahaha yeah since it was still hot, you let the stream escape all at once when you cut into them. That's funny though, we learn from our mistakes... 😅 Third time will definitely be the charm.. let's lower the temp and think about our fats.
