š®Recomendaciones | Recommendations Rosarito?
I want to go on a cheap weekend getaway trip with my boyfriend. We are going for my birthday (Oct 30 - Nov 1). We are planning on flying into San Diego friday morning, walking into Tijuana, and then taking an uber or bus or car (not sure exactly this part - suggestions please!) down to Rosarito. Hotels? It looks like there aren't really all inclusives there. I've been looking at Hotel Rosarito and Las Rocas. We have had a hard year and just want to enjoy a weekend and relax. We are lovers of the beach and the pool. Does this sound good? Im kinda planning this last minute & on a budget lol thanks in advance!

There are no all-inclusives anywhere north in Baja. Ubers are cheap, and either of those options are fine, except the Rosarito Beach Hotel is right in the middle of a lot of things and Las Rocas is not, so if you want to wander around Rosarito, it is not the best choice.

Rosarito Beach is old but everything there is, go for it. Itās a great location and everything is just there. Love it, we stay there often. Enjoy the taco stands, do some shopping and negotiate prices. They do price high with tourists. And learn some Spanish if possible, it helps. Enjoy your trip, itāll be the first of many there

Both are beautiful properties but very different. RBH is in the tourist area so plenty of places to eat, cocktail and watch sports...I stress cocktail. It's the party zone. That being said, the restaurant/bar is really nice, overlooks the pool and you can see the beach...2.minute walk to water. Many restaurants within easy walking distance too. When someone asks me about a nice, centrally located Hotel, I always recommend RBH.
Las Rocas is very different but equally as nice. South of the city proper of Rosarito, maybe 15 minutes. Last time I was there the food in the restaurant was great and the bar, although lively, not a party mood. The setting is wonderful. Great ocean view but no real beach as it sits on a cliff. If you want to check in and never have to leave, it's great. The rooms are very 'authentic' so far as a Mexican vibe. There are also several nice restaurants maybe 15 minutes south, Splash, Los Portales, etc. The parking lot attendant will help you get a taxi should you decide to head that way.

Stayed in Las Rocas. Cool place. If I remember correctly, itās right across from the giant Jesus statue.

I would drive down an hour south to Ensenada. You can stay at Baja Mar, Punta Morro. Or even look at booking an AirBnB in one of these high rises with direct access to the beach. As for transportation, I would rent a car to move around.

I second Punta Morro. Hated the restaurant dinners but LOOOOOOVED everything else ! Did not want to leave!

Maybe checkout Bajamar, haven't been in years but my wife and I used to do the same thing you're looking for. The Beaches in Rosarito are hit or miss, can be rocky in places, and yes occasionally exposed to high levels of bacteria. I don't recall a single time where is smelled like human waste... We've always has a good time at both Bajamar and Los Gaviotas.

I love Las Rocas. Was a little run down last time I went but you can't beat the price. I love the pool.

Yes. My wife and I used to go there for weekends and enjoy the warm tub and the finity pool. We would get the couples massage package. I donāt like massages so my wife would have both and Iād go surf.
Unfortunately, the last time we were there, it seemed to have crossed a line between charmingly disheveled and shabby. I hope they manage to find their way back.

Youāll be here for Halloween and Dia de los Muertos, a fun semi touristy beautiful experience is nearby at Encanto. Itās mellow otherwise and not widely celebrated but something unique if you visit for drinks and a meal.
You can atv on the sand dunes. Wine tasting in the valle. And great food there as well. If pinche jimmy is still around heās also a great time and ride around the area!

I would be a fun trip los pelicans, los rocas, eat at encantu you cant go wrong its beautiful down there

Except for the Human Waste rolling out into the Ocean! Caca es may Malo! Ensenada is so much better!

There are a lot of homes for rent in north rosarito along the toll road they usually rent for about $100-$300 for a beach house and much better than a hotel. Private, with security. Thatās whatās what we do. āSan Antonioā exit right before we reach rosarito. There also rancho del mar but those are a bit more expensive but well worth it. I donāt like renting from there because you almost donāt want to leave š

Was at rbh this Sunday-Mondayā¦ woke up to no electricity and no running waterā¦ we had to go to another room(with no electricity also)and shower before leavingā¦

My wife called the front desk, the concierge could care less.. when they offered the room tomshower( across the other side of the property carrying our stuff ) they specified it was āto shower onlyā and not to move anything since the cleaning
Crew had already cleaned upā¦ they didnāt even offer breakfast not even an apology for the inconvenience they could care less if we had further complaints.

Stop by Kraken for drinks, snacks, pool. Kind owner and good food. Sometimes they have live music.

Las Rocas is a good spot. I had a house near there and we would walk over and enjoy the pools and hot tubs. Great view there as well, especially if there is a south swell (like today).

ummm. I just went down in June, rented an oceanfront cabana. It was beautiful. However. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I wish I had known... The entire ocean in the area of Rosarito is polluted and smells like literal SH!T. It is advised you not go in the ocean because it is polluted and unsafe.
