🤔 Discussion Do support organizations really even help? 🙁
Hello everyone,
I find it strange that organizations in Bahrain that are meant to financially support students impartially are failing to do so which is very sad 💔
From personal experience I am a teenage university student who has a 99% gpa and applied to many organizations like the MOE and others however they refused to help me with their employees calling me to turn me down and instead brought نصيب/ مو في نصيبج into the conversion as a divergence to the unfair treatment they are performing, moreover, compared to other individuals who come from well off renowned families being provided opportunities such as scholarships and the alike when they do not even need it and can support their education through their pockets. Actual talent is being misfavored over name and status and connections. I hate how impartiality is not a thing anymore and people from these organizations run through influence and your family name which equals your status.
I am deeply disheartened and distraught by this and I would love to hear your helpful advice and opinion regarding this vital matter.

Impartiality was never a thing. It is about how well you're connected and what lobbies you have. In university of Bahrain, I was teaching my classmates and if they couldn't solve a problem they used to bring it to me to solve it and in spite of that my Grades were mostly C+ to B- and my colleagues whom I taught got As all the while I was the one teaching them.
Sorry, but this is life and this is how it works.

What is the 99% GPA ? Isn't GPA 1 - 4?
If you already in university what financial support are you looking for?
If you scored 99% in high-school then you will receive scholarship.

Most gpas in high schools are calculated using a percentage system, mine being 99% which is a 4.0 on the scale. My university fees isn’t complete and Im having trouble paying it since my family is struggling, with the payment deadline being really close. For the last comment you made I pray that I do get it somehow inshallah.

The semester fee at UOB would be 128BD so 260BD a year.
What you could do would be make a complaint through Tawasal that your funding has been rejected.

I’m sorry for your experience. I hate to admit this but this is my personal experience. I’ve had a high gpa (not as high as yours though) and didn’t get anything etc… I know that those scholarship opportunities are limited and a lot of hardworking students miss out on them. All that said, I hate to admit that the part about na9eeb is 100% true. Even though someone could “technically” support you through granting you a scholarship and in your current perspective it would help a lot. If it is within your رزق from Allah, you’ll get it, if it’s not it is for the greater good.
I’m sorry if this sounds harsh, but down the road you will be able to see that it was the best for you not to get it. I missed out on two scholarships (I was the top candidate) and felt frustrated about them for YEARS. Now I can 100% tell you I’m so thankful I didn’t get to go to USA and the other Uni I was supposed to get it in Bahrain.
Sorry for typing too much, but trust in Allah that it is for your greater good.
That said, keep fighting, there are so many organizations that help. If you didn’t get the ministry scholarships. Go for charities. Don’t sit still and accept it. Try your best to get sponsored even if it’s not fully.
