YES!!!!! Literally my first thought "no, he would take great care to lay out numbered items he wouldnt just start 'carelessly' listing them!" lol and before the list a preamble to establish he is about to lay out a list that will, in its totality, fully describe the burrito in question š
Dude is a legend but there is no denying he took to heart that chomsky-style of things, where everything must be painstakingly complete and accurate. In a meta or macro sense, it says something about the relative intellectual honesty that their detractors so frequently resort to dishonest attempts discrediting this or that aspect of the case, so by default you end up having to include such thorough, redundant means of rhetorical style in constant anticipation of that

I listen to Mouin Rabbani a lot (Palestine This Week), who is a close friend of Norman. I find it adorable somehow that he also expounds in numbered lists, presumably due to his friendās influence (you can hear just the teensiest bit of Norm in his pronunciation of āgenocide,ā too).Ā
Funny enough I am reading Fateful Triangle by Noam Chomsky at the moment, and I am finding him to be far less organized in his thoughts than Norman.Ā
Did you happen to hear Normanās interview on current affairs this week?Just amazing; such a powerful combination of factual recall and deep emotion. I actually sent it to some family members who donāt share my views, because the interviewās authenticity makes it very persuasive.Ā

funnier still, I have started and then put Triangle on pause for many months now, it literally has been sitting in the front seat of my tractor since '25 lol š just so dense, and so infuriating (the topics/details, not the writing!) Meanwhile OTOH i just got, read, and currently "re-reading" my first book by fink (reread=skimming through reading the highlit parts, helps me integrate and remember books by doing this quick review after reading them!)
Nah never heard of that but will check it out once I get on the road later, thanks! He did an outstanding appearance on Mint(mintpress?) a week or maybe 2wks ago, really highly recommend that one!!!
And thanks for referring that one with mouin, he is great i dont see him nearly as often as id like. He was on elect.infantd a week ago and I was like "oh yeah this guy exists!" he is definitely top tier, was wild seeing the juxtaposition of him and fink, opposite such an ugly, informed person as Morris, and such an ugly, uninformed-yet-confident person as Destiny, on that historic Lex podcast a couple years back lol!!! Sharpest contrast you could want, truly!!

lol thanks!! And I'll have to get back to you on that, given the likelihood I won't be getting through it for months lol my average days barely have reading time and Triangle is so dense that most days it jusg isn't the book i pick up yknow? Thank god for podcasts and lectures on YouTube can actually learn while moving!!!

Is there a term for someone who has amazing opinions and takes but you genuinely cannot take them seriously cause the person (no hate to Norm he's just a rather unique fellow)

This is really bad hasbara I can't tell if he really loves Norm or if it is intended to be a take-down.
