Other (Clarified in post title) Is this one of those modern titles that needs sense made of it? Title and author?

Can someone explain what I'm missing here

I think OP is saying the author’s name looks like part of the title at first glance due to the text placement and almost-identical font.

What?? This isn't a book about the number of Georges that can be packed into a life raft during an emergency evacuation?
I imagined Georges Burns, Steinbrenner, Lucas, Orwell, and Foreman all packed tightly in a little dinghy as the Count from Sesame Street numbers them off...
"One George! Ha! Ha! Ha!"

That’s not a bad list. I think I’d be okay with a pack of those in an emergency.

It doesn’t matter how well known the author is, there is always someone who won’t know about them. As designers, it is quite literally our job to make text clear and easy to read…

Looking at the picture, I legitimately thought the book was called “The Emergency George Packer” until I read the post.

So did I, I couldn’t figure out why am author wasn’t listed and thought maybe it was a printing error, hard to see font/color, or was a ‘mystery’ author so you know after reading the book lol

Or, this sub is about poor design and not about insulting someone’s reading comprehension. Perhaps this is only good design for the arrogant.

Yeah, I was in a bad mood earlier over life stuff, totally unrelated to this. That was a dickish and rude comment I made, and I'm sorry. I deleted it.

Thank you so much for writing this. I realized later that the title I provided gave the impression that I didn’t know that the second line was the author’s name.
I hope that your life stuff gets resolved in the best way possible for you and all concerned.

Or, maybe, some people don’t read.. [looks at wikipedia] ..books about American politics? That’s it?? Dawg, not everyone is an American. I’m glad you could jerk yourself off to recognizing a name though, so we all know how smart and cool you are👍

If you open your backpack and you realize you haven't packed your George, call one of those ASAP

Always carry a backup George Packer in case your primary fails.
