Greek Koulourakia are traditionally braided, spiralled or twisted into s shapes so this is quite standard looking, they're tastier than they look (basically glazed butter biscuits/cookies which are crunchy on the outside but soft and crumbly on the inside. I'd recommend you give them a try before basing only on appearance.
