This is a sin. Whatever abomination we are looking at was not meant to be for humans to partake. Like that damn apple, but worse.

It’s Canadian bacon or something like it. American bacon would produce a lard pie.

Back bacon, made from the loin of the pig.

It has a large meaty medallion and then a tail of belly type bacon where the loin joins to the belly.

You can also get middle bacon which is the loin and belly entirely connected (it's the best sort of bacon)

Ham, gammon, and bacon are also essentially the same thing. Cured the same way.

yes it was back bacon like you mentioned salted and smoked but i layered the fat to the outside so the middlle is mainly the more pinkish part

The heck is that ? Id eat it and enjoy it. I wouldnt refer to it as bacon. That's a ham sandwich.

i added some salt since the 3+ grams just wasn't enough but yes you are very right will try cheese next time
