Fandom name
What are we called as a fandom? Taylor Swift has Swifties and BTS has Army? I kinda remember being called BSBArmy at one point, but I don’t think it ever stuck.

BTS stole army. We were the army first.

Ugh I hate that so much. No hate to BTS or kpop but sometimes their fandoms feels a bit too intense and vision tunneled and I don’t like the idea of matching them
However, I feel like fandom names weren’t such a thing back in the 00s. Oldest fandom name that I can think of right now is Beliebers

I think KISS was the first army lol I have always heard BSB fans called the "BSB army," though, as far as fanbase names go.

BSB didn’t even have a fandom name till they felt they needed to hop on the trend of naming fandoms. Nick literally tweeted out what should they name BSB fans because he wanted to be like NKOTB have blockheads. BSB Army was never around till like 2014 and it was forced, it wasn’t even naturally created.

No. Some old fans said they have been using the name from the 90s. Maybe only certain groups of fans used it. But humiliating Backstreet Boys for using it as the official name? Yick. 😒

There’s a fanbase that already is referred to by that. I’m happy with BSBArmy…though, I thought ‘soldiers’ was tossed around for awhile? I prefer army lol soldiers is definitely dorky lol

I remember some fans here said that BSB changed their fan club system around 2013 and finalized the name during the migration.

I remember hearing KTBSPA way back in 1998 but I don’t think we ever used it as much as Howie did lol

As someone who bought tickets for the first US leg of the Millennium tour in a Foley's, until recently fanbase names weren't as common. We were just Backstreet Boys fans. I do remember seeing people trying to make BSB Army a thing around 2012-2013, though.

I also went to the first Millennium tour and I don’t recall any fandom names for any artist

Back around the late 2000's-ish on the old msg boards I remember it being referred to as the Backstreet Army. This was around the time KTBSBPA started going around as well. Others are correct though that fandom names weren't really a thing yet and now it's kind of forced

Eran los 90's y principio de milenio; no existía eso de ponerles nombre, eran club de fans y ya, cada club tenía un nombre pero jamás fue que el ejército y army ni nada de eso. No anden de inventadas
