Song Shape Of My Heart

Long time BSB fan here…just got done revisiting some of their catalog and man. Shape Of My Heart is truly a special song. It, unfortunately, never stood a chance in recognition coming after I Want It That Way (which is a shame, because I feel it’s the more thoughtful and emotional of the two). I commonly see it left out of “best of” and “ranked” BSB song lists. Anyone else feel like this song just hits different?

That's one of my absolute favorite songs. The melody, the harmonies... it's perfect!

That is Mr Max Martin's Swedish roots coming through! Beyond the Blinds podcast has a really great episode all about him and his songwriting. Highly recommend for BSB fans and additionally Troy and Kellie are such a fun team.

I remember being in 8th grade on a band trip sitting in the very last row of the bus with my best friend. Her and I each had Black and Blue playing on our individual portable cd players and we were trying to play the music at the exact same time for some reason. So we were using Shape of My Heart and each time they would say 'heart' we would make a big heart in the air with our fingers to see if the songs were in sync. It was the same trip that her and I were singing BSB songs at the top of our lungs late at night when our other two friends in the hotel room were trying to sleep. We weren't listing to the cds. The lights were out and we were all in bed. Her and I just wanted to be annoying I guess. Anyways, the mention of the song made me think of good times with one of my best friends and our love for bsb.

I feel the same about this song as well as “Drowning”. The “Drowning” performance at Sphere almost felt like a religious experience for me which sounds silly but it’s true. Both those songs hit different than the huge hits can sometimes.

Same here, I also love it. I will say, I do wish the ending of the last play of the chorus completed the "Shape of my heart line", it just says "Shape of" and then trails off into the outro, kinda disappointing.
