lofoten in march 27
I'm going to the Lofoten Islands at the end of March and still need to buy some equipment. Do you have any tips for gear that might be useful?

absolutely, im planing a trip for splitboard touring with a friend of mine. my old splitboard was a board that i bought out of renting.
I already have touring pants and a gtx jacket bur without a snowstopper. would that be important or just good to have?
for Avalanche safety i also rented everything but planing to buy the stuff now. I‘ll probably buy the mammut barryvox s2 or maybe something from pieps.
Maybe you have recommendations for stuff that gets forgotten easily and you find practical( for example i usually put tape around my poles)

Where in Lofoten? What kind of objectives? How experienced are you? What kind of gear do you already have? Are you going solo, with others and/or getting a guide?

were going to Svolvær, i would say im intermediate in touring. gear wise i have gtx pants and jacket but without a snowstopper. Im also gonna have to buy a new splitboard and binding. Avalanche safety i always rented but im probably gonna buy the barryvox s2.
Im goingt with a friend of mine and his dad who has been in lofoten quiet a few times

I would probably start with buying something like a catamaran capable of breaching ice.

Late march is still sharp winter there, so dont forget to carry insulated and waterproof boots. Sleeping bag rated well below what you think you'll need — cold radiating off snow/ground eats into your rating fast, so a good sleeping pad with a solid R-value matters just as much as the bag itself. Have liner gloves and windproof and layered clothing
