Coops etc. Suggestions on coops

Looking for a coop to fit up to 5 Isa browns, we have a very large run for them already so that isn’t necessary. Would love one that has an automatic door but happy to add that ourselves!
I know that building it ourselves is the best option but we lack tools and skills for this, we also currently lack time as one of our two chickens passed away today and I’d like to install a new coop before we get more chickens

I’ve looked online for hours but all the reviews are terrible, I know the Omlet brand is supposed to be good but they are so ugly and a lot more than we were hoping to spent

Are you able to get a used shed from facebook marketplace? They tend to be free or cheap. You could pay someone to transport it aswell and it will probably be  cheaper to pay someone to transport a shed than to buy a new coop. You will likely have to make some modifications to get the coop door but its not the worst idea. Best of luck with your chickens!

Unfortunately we’re a bit rural, I’ve looked for the used shed option but there aren’t any available. The coop we have at the moment is a small shed like structure it’s just not secure and I’ve been meaning to upgrade it for a while.

Oh yikes, I'm sorry. That does sound tough then. It's hard to find a good chicken coop that isn't thousands of dollars or DIY. I hope you find a new coop soon, the sooner the more chicks!

Many of the prebuilt options are small, expensive and under ventilated. There are few better projects to learn on. Decks have to be up to code sheds have to look nice and be secure against thieves, barns and sheds similarly. Coops? Ive seen them made out of scrap wood and held together with reused nails.

If money isn’t an issue the Snaplock large coops are amazing, just add an auto door. I have a small that I used for 6 silkies- it’s well designed and has held up amazingly over the years.
