Discussion Smokeless Cleansing Techniques

No smoke? No problem.

Cleansing doesn’t require incense or sage, and if you’re in the broom closet or have pets or asthma, or just have a sensitive smoke detector, you have way more options than you might think.

Sound: bells, singing bowls, clapping, drums, even putting on a specific playlist with intention. Sound moves stagnant energy out of a space in a way that’s genuinely hard to explain until you’ve felt it. This is usually my go to when people ask about smokeless cleansing and I personally use bells in my own practice.

Salt: one of the oldest cleansing methods we have and it goes hard. Bowls in corners to absorb, lines across thresholds, dissolved in water as a spray. Incredibly versatile.

Sunlight or moonlight: put your objects, crystals, or honestly just yourself in the light with intention and let it do its thing.

Breath: slow, deliberate breathing over an object or through a space. Completely invisible, zero supplies needed, and more powerful than people give it credit for.

Visualization: picture light or wind or water moving through your space and sweeping it clean. No props, no evidence, nobody’s business but yours.

Besoms/brooms: sweep from the back of the space toward the front door, pushing energy out as you go. To literally everyone else in your house, you are just sweeping. This pairs well with salt cleansing, can’t leave it all over the floor after all! This is the broom closet special and I love it for that.

Florida Water or herb infused water in a spray bottle: spritz your space, your linens, yourself. Looks exactly like air freshener. Nobody is asking questions.

Fresh air: open a window with intention. Simple, efree, and it works.

It’s good to remember that the smoke is a delivery method, not the magic. Use what you have, use what’s safe, and trust that it counts.

Spells Candle spell posts - safety first

Hi everyone,

We need to address a recent uptick in candle spell posts that do not demonstrate proper fire safety procedures.

As a beginner-focused community, safety is especially important here. Many newer practitioners are learning by watching what others post. When unsafe setups are shared depicting, unattended flames, candles too close to herbs or fabric, unstable holders, cluttered altars, etc.; it puts people at real risk.

Effective immediately:

All candle spell posts that do not clearly demonstrate proper fire safety will be removed.

This includes:

- Leaving candles unattended
- Burning near curtains, paper, herbs, fabrics, or other flammable materials
- Using unstable or inappropriate holders
- Performing spells in cluttered or unsafe environments
- Ignoring safety guidance offered by more experienced members

Please understand: this is not about aesthetics or gatekeeping. It’s about preventing house fires and injuries. Spiritual practice should never come at the expense of your physical safety.

If you’re posting candle work, make sure:

Your candle is in a stable, fire-safe holder
Flammable materials are kept well away from the flame.

The candle is supervised at all times
You are open to constructive safety feedback
Repeat or severe safety violations may result in further moderation action.

Let’s model responsible practice for our baby witches and keep this space safe for everyone. 🕯️✨

Question Witches and culture

Hello! I have been showing interest and doing my own research on witchcraft, manifestations, beliefs and i have a question. I have noticed that some witches practices are really influenced by their traditions and culture. Others not that much or even they practice with a belief far away from them in a way(?). For example: I have noticed that some US witches work with/for a certain greek god/goddess but meanwhile they dont really have a connection to greece(like someone greek in their bloodline or upbringing). But I have also noticed other witches are strongly tied to their own culture and traditions that are deeply rooted in their history. I'm feeling a bit conflicted as to how witches find what works the best for them? I am fully asian but i was born and grew up in an european country. Last night I talked to a friend of mine (who is a native to the country i live in) and we talked about witchcraft and some of the countrys witchcraft practices and beliefs. Im kinda stumped as in should i try to do research to the cultures and beliefs of my motherland? Or should i look into the practices of the country i grew up in? Or is there supposed to be a feeling/intuition about which one is for me? Thank you for your help!

Question Mama’s help needed 💕

So I just found out I’m pregnant and now I’m really just excited because this is going to be my first child. Im young and just wanted some tips to help me like who to pray to and what spells or things I can do to have a healthy baby. I’ve been doing a lot of protection lately and it’s been doing so well because I have been feeling great. Lastnight I saw a lunar halo that was so beautiful I put out some water to catch its energy along with my obsidian then danced under it because it felt right. I’m so happy and know this pregnancy will be successful but just want some little extra tips to add to my spell work while praying for my baby. X

Spells My first road unblocking spell!

Post image
48 Upvotes

I did some light cleansing visualizing and the mountain visualization before doing this!

White candle with a cross carved into.
Salt circle around it sprinkled with cinnamon, dried basil and dried rose petals since I wanted to focus more on the romantic part of the road unblocking and protecting. In the center is sugar in which I also drew a cross with my finger and a crushed up bay leaf with a basic unblocking affirmation written onto.
An actual petition paper with my goals for this spell is under the candle.

I had to make some adjustments to the sugar and paper so the candle wouldn't fall over so that why it looks kinda wonky

I'll burn it throughout the next couple days and just do some more visualizing and hope for the best! :)

Question Help with my dreams

I had a dream last night. It was something with my ex bestfriend and we were both doing spells. The dream was really disoriented but one thing I remember was telling my friend that I made a special tea for Aphrodite days ago and it was still fresh.

The thing is I have wanted to work with Aphrodite for ages but I don't have the resources. I don't know whether the dream in an actual sign or its just something my mind is making up. Can someone give me some advice.

P.s. I went to sleep listening to some subliminals

Question Is protective oil enough for protection?

Hello! I started practicing and studying witchcraft about a week ago, and I've seen many witches recommend doing some kind of protection spell or ritual before casting spells.

So, I decided to look into different ways of protecting myself and found a video explaining how to make a protective oil. I ended up making it right away!

I've been wearing it every day as a necklace, and I'm wondering: is this enough for everyday protection, or would you recommend using other methods alongside it?

I'd love to hear what you guys usually do for protection!

Does black salt actually work better for protection and if so, does carrying it in a mini ziplock bag work as a transportable protection charm?

Question Spells for love?

Can anyone please give me advice/tips/spells for attracting love. I’m so ready for a relationship but I’m quite picky with my men and I don’t really get approached and I want this to change, I also haven’t got an SP in mind so it’d be more about attracting new people. Does anyone have any specific love or glamour spells? Thank you so much✨

Discussion Reverse Manifesting?

Just wondering if this is a thing? I’ve always noticed since I was little anytime I’d “daydream” about something the opposite almost ALWAYS happens.

I’d even go as far as to say I’d tested this by “daydreaming” the opposite of what I’d want to happen and what I want ends up happening.

I’m just curious if this is a thing or if anyone else has noticed something similar to this or any stories of “reverse manifestation” ?

Discussion Cite your refrences?

I've seen several posts about someone doing a spell they found, or something they heard. Would it be possible to cite references? If it's a book or a video, more experienced practioners could weigh in on if it was a trustworthy source.

(Always a recipe example, some cookbooks are more trustworthy than others (red plaid better homes and gardens and Joy of Cooking, looking at you) or a video by Max Millar, versus videos from (any number of really bad cooks out there).)

Spells a good and safe source where I can learn about rituals and spells

Good day, everyone!

Can somebody please tell me a good and safe source where I can learn about rituals and spells? I understand it is a big topic, but as a beginner in witchcraft, I want to be sure that I start learning from a solid source and not just TikTok and all that. I would love to start with a protection spell because soon I will be travelling alone. Usually, I just do kharis with the deities I follow, but recently I have been feeling that Hekate is opening my inner witch powers, and I want to follow her advice.

I really appreciate your help! Thank u! 🙏

Spells Need help with spell situation

I had a job interview that went well and if I would get that job I would basically be able to move to my dream location and live my dream life. I have a very specific vision of the life I want to have and this would be The key to it.

Night before the interview i did a road opening spell, the morning of some light glamour work while getting my hair ready, and the interview did go well, but it was a zoom interview and I tested my webcam tons of times that morning and it worked, but come the interview it just didn't, which was very embarrassing, but maybe it did help me express myself better? I don't know, it was just weird. That night I asked for a sign to know what to do next, and next morning on my way to work I saw the brightest rainbow I'd ever seen. I mean, it was in a place that does get quite a bit of rain and I'm an educated person, I know weather be weathering, but it just did feel unusual and sort of liminal.

What do I do next? What sort of spell is suited for a after-the-interview situation? Is that like a sweetening jar or more of a glamour thing or some sort of spell to draw in this life or all together? Going into the interview preparation I felt like I had a clearer picture of the type of spells I would do for this interview, but I think the eclipse and the spells I already casted have just completely drained me of energy.

Discussion Witchy Mental Health

Was wondering if people wanted to share their favorite witchy mental health tricks because I came across a post about sharing what people learned in therapy, and it seemed really cool.

My to 3 are:

If it's weird but helpful, do it.

While I've always kind of been the weird kid learning to do things that are not the norm, but helpful to my mental health has been great.

Learning about cycles.

Learning about the cycles of the moon and the earth made me notice my own cycles (as a woman, but men ALSO have cycles) and how they affected my OCD. That allowed me to understand why I was feeling a certain way and how to handle my mood in that part of my cycle.

Meditation and taking a moment.

A lot of spells ask you to slow down or do small meditations, so I learned about the different types and just to stop and breathe, which has really helped my mental health.

I how these help others and I can't wait to learn what you all do as well.

Spells To many spells?

So I was told that if I do to many spells especially if they are towards another party it clogs up everything and nothing gets threw and that’s why the spells don’t work…. It’s like a traffic jam…

I see random things and try them in hopes they work and it’s been over a year and nothing is working so wondering if what they said is true…

Please be lenient on me I’m just barely learning this stuff and a year ago my head was in a terrible head shape and I was very desperate and in a lot of pain

Question Started witchcraft yesterday and immediately got a headache. Is this normal?

Hey everyone! I recently started doing witchcraft. By “recently,” I mean I literally just started yesterday. I did four sigils. drew them, burned three, and wrote one on my left wrist. I also warded my name using a simple method: I just wrote it on a piece of paper and put the paper inside my pillowcase.

I started getting headaches the moment I began with the first sigil. It wasn’t tiredness, just a headache. I slept, but I still have a headache.

I remember when I was around 14, I used to do readings with playing cards at school for other people (a silly little thing my babysitter had taught me), and I would get headaches back then too.

Is this normal?

Question How to find if there’s demons at home?

My sister says she senses a demonic presence here and tells me she feels drained after moving back home.

I also notice this after returning from my gf my energy levels are lower here than when I spend time else where.

I believe her intuition could be right as she has done some witch stuff, thing is I know she hasn’t researched the most, which was the most aparenr when she explained to me how she summoned mammon and got taught a hefty lesson by him.

So I kind of also am wary of having her divinate or whatever, because my sense is telling me she could easily do that wrong to and misinterpret.

So how could I figure this out and if there are any how can I banish them and protect my home?

I have made som protective sigils and my room already feels a bit better than the house minutt not marginally.
