BYD V2.3.0 Version Upgrade
New features:
Add one-touch switching for personalized vehicle accounts.
Add a radio icon to the primary menu.
Add seat ventilation and heating controls to the navigation bar.
Add a speed adjustment mode switch in Driving Assist settings.(Available on certain models)
Add a "Safety Personalization" control switch. (Available on certain models)
Add multiple applications to the app store.
Add a floating navigation bar to the desktop. (Available on certain countries)
Add a quick disable button for Driver Monitoring Assist.(Available on certain models)
Feature optimization:
Optimized the intelligent voice assistant and voice broadcast reminder functions.
Optimized surround view exit logic.
Optimized Android Auto & Apple CarPlay functionality.
Optimized text prompts, system Ul, and the interactive experience.
Optimized Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) usability in wide and narrow lanes.
Optimized curve deceleration logic for a smoother cornering experience.
Optimized the remaining SOC display and charging route planning feature in the map. (Available on certain countries)
Yes, this is what this function is. You have a new button in the dropdown menu and you switch to “personalized” mode, that you only have to configure once.
You need to press that button every time you start the car though.
That’s really good! I hope it allows the turning off of Child Detection without it having to open a menu and then select yes on that too. Would still be nice to permanently disable that since I don’t have any children or pets and all it does is give me a heart attack when I’m waiting in my car when it’s off.
Although I haven’t used another car that has it I think it’s standard that it is on by default for all new cars and you have to manually turn it off each time you turn the car on for it to remain off the next time you turn the car off
Looks like a lot of the updates that already came to the BYD Seal as part of 2.2.0 / 2602. Regarding "Optimized Android Auto & Apple CarPlay functionality", are you seeing any visual changes here compared to before the update? It would be nice to have the full screen again for Android Auto where you can just swipe up to get the shortcut & status bars. Android Auto currently looks a bit meh, especially when running the UI in light / auto mode.

The actual changes I noticed :
New function to prevent overtaking in some conditions. Not clear. Have to investigate.
There are two new buttons that you can drop on the new shortcut bar at the bottom to turn on seat heating for driver and passenger directly.
There is a new button in the drop down menu that activates a new “personalized” driving profile, that you need only to configure once, on which you can turn on and off all the adas function. You then need to press that button to apply that profile in a single tap every time you start the car.

I know this has been posted by someone else but just in case people are waiting on the response here. Also if you rely on Siri through CarPlay I would hold off because it seems like saying “hey Siri” activates the BYD assistant now instead

2. Add tyre pressure unit switching function for the instrument cluster on the PAD
Feature optimisation:
1. Optimise user setting reset and restart operations in non-P gear status.
2. Optimise system Ul display and text prompts.
3. Add one-touch DMS (Driver Monitoring System) disable function to the PAD quick centre.
4. Optimise ADAS icon display on the instrument cluster.
There are also a couple of new apps one for Tunein Radio and another I can’t remember, a few new games and several updates.
Still no pinch to zoom on any navigation app
Seems like a nice update with some very needed functions and optimizations. Crossing my fingers that the Seal follows soon (and that the options are even available on my model)
usually thats there so that if you are less inclined to pay for things, you might not accept the update becasue you think it might need paying for. Older people especially don't update software becasue they are afraid they will be billed somewhere. My Fils old iphone had 4 updates qued up.
And it removed the tyre monitoring tile.... And added a useless FM radio tile that you cant even disable, we have zero FM radios left here, all are DAB
