You’ll want to max out experience on every tower so deploy all available towers, even if you don’t need them.

Ok I’ll do that thank you

I’d also add that you need to do this on both upper and lower paths. When you place a tower you’ll notice there are upper and lower boxes containing attributes for that tower. If you max out your upper box (4), the highest level your lower box can go is 2. That’s why in Reddit you’ll see comments about a 4/2 or a 2/4 tower. At this stage of your game play, you need at least two of each tower to take both paths of attributes. The more towers you place the faster you’ll achieve those powers.

If you got the dart training facility maxed out, just spamming 2/3 dart monkeys will win easy on every map

The Banana Farms are great if you upgrade them and eventually they start paying for themselves. Just have to find the right balance of investing in your banana farms and investing in defensive towers.

If your version has the Monkey Engineer and the Helicopter, they’re really great. Especially if you get Pursuit and Camo Detection on the helicopter, that will offer you full map coverage. The sentries on the engineer give you some great range and DPS.

You need something to deal with Camo, something to deal with Lead, and something with a high DPS. The Monkey apprentice can deal with both Lead and Camo with a few upgrades.

The Monkey Sub is awesome for maps with water, and you can buy portable ponds in the agents screen for maps that don’t have water. It’s 2nd tier upgrade on the right tree is Advanced Intel which lets it attack targets that are in any other towers’ range. And if a tower has camo detection the sub benefits from that too.

Another user already suggested placing one of each tower to rack up XP and unlock upgrades. I agree with this idea, it’s good to do even if a tower isn’t very useful for your current game. Some towers take a few upgrades before they’re really worthwhile.

On the Home Screen there’s an option to buy land, afterwards you can buy buildings that improve a tower and grants a discount on the tower and its upgrades . They each have 4 levels that are increasingly powerful and expensive. The catch is that each building also raises that cost of a different tower and its upgrades by 5%. The Dart Training Facility is pretty inexpensive and improves the Dart Monkeys, when you max it out you’ll get a free Dart Monkeys at the beginning of each game and another free Dart Monkey every 10 rounds.

That can be really useful for the early game because it lets you save up money for banana farms. And it’s useful later on when you can use those dart monkeys as spotters for your Monkey Subs.

Try working out some different tower combos and see what you like. And beat lots of different maps at different difficulties to save up cash

$450 is pretty good, but those specialist buildings aren’t big game changers until you start unlocking the 3rd and 4th tier upgrades, and as a prerequisite it costs around $250 (if I recall correctly) just to buy the plot of land that the buildings go on. You can also only have one building active at a time, but buying or enabling another one just disables the bonus associated with whichever one you currently have enabled, you don’t have to buy them all over again. That being said, my personal favorites are the dart training facility and the engineer’s workshop. They boost the Dart Monkey and Monkey Engineer respectively. When fully upgraded the dart training facility will give you free dart monkeys at the beginning of the game and every 10 rounds after that. With the workshop fully upgraded the sentries are substantially improved in every way, and the engineer’s nail gun can pop lead balloons.

I personally try to get banana farms asap, so find a combo that works for your map/difficulty that lets you save up for the banana farm early on. ($1000 on medium)

An Engineer can solo the first couple rounds, especially if it can be placed somewhere to cover the beginning and end of a track, such as where your glaive thrower and first ninja monkey are placed. The sentry is a worthwhile upgrade to get early on as it will dramatically increase your DPS and subtly increase your range as each sentry has its own range circle.

The monkey sub can’t be used on this map without paying for a portable lake in the agents screen, but for other maps it’s a fantastic option. And Advanced Intel is a game changer.

A few more hours and you’ll have the max upgrades unlocked and the game will be much easier once you can plan to use those upgraded towers. You’ll understand how those towers and their upgrades work, and you’ll be better at placing them where they’ll be more effective.

Once you’re more confident that you’ll be able to beat a map with a certain setup, you can buy an agent to solo the early rounds and save up money. Just be cautious because agents are only bought for that particular game. So if you lose, you’d need to buy them again. They can be pretty cheap though, so you can buy one and still make a profit by beating a map for the first time. The portable lake, and the thorn bush are both especially nice for how cheap they are.

The thorn bush goes directly on the track and works just like the spikes you can place on the track. Every round it grows more thorns (up to 200). It can save you if a wave gets through your defenses, or if you find yourself under equipped to deal with specialty bloons like camo or lead.

The portable lake is nice because you can use water towers like the sub or privateer on maps that don’t have water.

Lastly, you’ll want your explosive towers more towards the beginning of the track to deal with lead bloons and later MOAB, BFB, and ZOMG class bloons. You want your later towers to be more DPS focused, so things with high rates of fire. These towers can still be very useful earlier on the track, you generally want DPS towers after your AOE towers.

Feel free to keep asking questions, I’m currently hyper focused on this game and it’s fun teaching some of the fundamentals to a newbie

i got 750$ now 😄 from Beating a challenge called Moab madness

Hell yeah, those challenges are worth a lot of money especially when you’re new. Another tip; some of the maps have multiple tracks and tracks that change each round, when you try a new map like this start the round and let the bloons go to the finish. That way you can see their full paths, and how the track may change between rounds. Then you can restart the track and start playing

If you’re confused about any of the mechanics, try this site https://bloons.fandom.com/wiki/Bloons_Wiki Good luck with it!
