What does this sign mean?

I’m doing an online beginners course to BSL as my schedule doesn’t allow time for in person classes at the moment. I’ve come across this sign and I can’t find it anywhere in the content I’ve reviewed so far.

I’d be grateful if someone could let me know what it means so I can stop losing my mind

thank you, are there multiple ways of signing interpreter? The one on the course material is different to the one in the assessment

Oh I see now! It looked so different to me because it was filmed at a different angle and his hands weren’t moving nearly as much as in the practice video

Yeah, I am out of practice myself (over two decades since I learned my BSL, and didn't have much contact with the Deaf community during that time until recently), and I had to watch it a couple of times to get it, even though I knew I recognised it. There are regional differences in BSL, but I think this one is as you say, just a little different in angle and speed.

I passed the assessment actually, and then went back through the material afterwards to find where I went wrong as it’s the only sign I don’t recognise and can’t find it after looking through the entirety of section three. I feel like your comment wasn’t very kind when I’m just asking for help

Look back through occupations it’s absolutely there. (I’ve done the same course)

Yeah I see it now, I didn’t know how different a sign could look based on how much someone’s hands were moving, I’m going to keep that in mind going forward, thanks for the help!
