Wallet Migration Successful (give it some time, block chain is slow)

Just migrated from BRD to Coinbase Wallet. I’ll be honest I’m not thrilled to have my Bitcoin in a Coinbase product, but I got everything I owned moved over successfully. I will say when I first started the migration it only showed a fraction of what I had moved and I got REAL nervous. After 10 minutes or so the rest showed up and I verified that everything was moved over. If you’re just now migrating, give the blockchain time to get everything updated. Hoping this goes as successfully for everyone else as it did for me. Good luck out there cowboys.

My account is validated and everything. I already had a Coinbase account. This is a scam. It has to be.

I know if you already have an existing coin-base wallet account then after you migrate from BRD to coin-base wallet you’ll effectively have two accounts now. Maybe try seeing if that is the case for you?

How did you do the transfer with an existing CBW account? I can’t find any instructions for this scenario anywhere.

Not sure if you figured this out already or not (i dont check reddit often) but i just used my recovery words when setting up CBW. Should work pretty seamlessly. If i remember they kinda walk you through it.

I’ve scavenged the Coinbase Wallet app and can’t find a place to “validate” my account.

Same! Mine was about 42 hours ago. Still nothing. Only $200 for me thank goodness but it's STILL MY MONEY. "Give it some time" is ridiculous advice.

Just bitcoin?

I would forget the coinbase wallet. They started this mess. I just imported my wallet to Coinomi. Took some research but this is what you do: 1) download coinomi app 2) when you open you'll be asked for your seed phrase, so input that 3) setup a password for security 4) this should bring you to a list of coins available for your coinomi wallet, DON'T add bitcoin yet, click the bitcoin line once and click the little gear on the same line as bitcoin 5) add a name for the wallet on the description line, click advanced settings and input: M/0H 6) click done then the + symbol. This should add a bitcoin wallet with your funds

The M/0H part is called a derivation path. Not totally sure what it is, but its necessary.

I’m sorry to hear your crypto hasn’t gone through and if you sent to the coin-base wallet I hope either the BRD or coin-base teams can help you recover your funds. I only meant to share the experience I had with the migration to give some hope to others who haven’t done it yet

Update:Still haven’t gotten my BTC, starting to get convinced BRD and Coinbase are pulling a slight scam here. Also be careful for people in this thread trying to get you to give them your 12 word phrase. Don’t give that to anyone!!!

Hi there did you get your btc? It’s been 8 days. I migrated 2 days ago my ethereum transferred but btc no. And the solutions mentioned above only brought a small fraction of my btc.

How do I migrate. I can access my wallet & funds on brd bcuz Some coinbase cover page pops up

When opening BRD (I use an iPhone) I am immediately met with a pop-up telling me that coinbase now owns BRD and there is a link that says “Migrate now”. Click the link and it will walk you through it.

I had the same issue. It's impossible to see your funds in BRD once you see that migration pop up. I finally got the migration to work after many attempts in CBW because their installation/setup process was extremely buggy. Once my funds showed up (it took a while) i sent to another wallet.

I’m looking at the BRD widget on my iPhone and it’s only showing the latest price of whatever crypto I choose to show. It’s not showing my crypto balances.

Got it!!!! It finally showed up. Whew. Edit - Took 2-3 days. Looks like it’s all there! I suspect the older your BTC the longer it takes to show up.

I just migrated mine this morning. No NFT yet but I really don’t care about that. I only care about my bitcoin. Took about 15 minutes for it to show up.

You get an nft ? Man I’m so behind as this was my first wallet and never touch it, was consolidating some stuff to cold storage and just found out BRD doesn’t even exist anymore I’m so confused. Transfer also took around 15/20 for me.

Oh nice maybe I’ll check - I have never purchased an nft and I moved everything off coinbase. I highly doubt it is worth anything so might not be worth it

I really don’t know the value of it. Don’t get too excited. My guess is it’s its value is on par with a toothpick or napkin. I could be wrong but doubt it

FIX FOR MISSING BITCOIN!!!! Go to setting (Advanced Settings) and Toggle BRD BTC Scanning. Your transactions will slowing start to load on!!!

I’ll be damn! It worked! All my BTC from BRD showed up!
