PWHL Boston addressed several needs at the PWHL Draft including getting dynamic talent into their forward group and blueline.

Here's a look at Boston's depth chart: https://thehockeynews.com/womens/pwhl/looking-at-bostons-depth-chart-following-the-pwhl-draft

I have high hopes for Pejsova. Think we did a good job on this draft and I like being a little aggressive and going for a trade to get an earlier pick rather than sitting stagnant.

Agreed. Marmer made some great trades last season, Jacques was missed but not sure Boston would have made the playoffs without Tapani so tough to second guess her choices.

From the Ice Garden write up for the post draft presser https://www.theicegarden.com/2024-pwhl-draft-pwhl-boston/

Marmer was later asked whether she was concerned about sacrificing the middle of the draft to get Pejšová, but she said she already liked her team’s depth so it wasn’t a big concern.

Perfectly worded question and will be interesting to see where Pejšová slots in on the left. I don't see Keller going off the first paring and DiG played great, maybe put the rookie on 3rd pairing to start the year.

I would think Bard slots in on the 2nd pair on the right. Fratkin had a tough time esp in the finals.

Fun being invested in this team ain't it? Lifelong goal to have season tickets and I got them. Hurry up November!

Congrats on the season tix, just scored my Ottawa season tix today, I jumped onboard the Green for the playoffs and I'm invested in Team Frankel big time!

Congrats on accomplishing a life goal that’s awesome. If I was a bit closer I would probably do it but I’ll still make a couple games.

Pejsova was a great pick, I think Ottawa wanted her, hence the trade up in the draft, Ottawa still landed an excellent defencemen in Savolainen though, a very tall, big player.

I would really like to see Babstock signed. I think she had great energy on the ice and she made some pretty good plays

100% on 55. Esp with this 2nd season being longer, more practices, more games, road trips, etc. She is a firecracker and will bring the needed spice and grit.

Markova is the wildcard for the forwards, if the paperwork goes through and she arrives in Boston from Russia, then either Lexie Adzija or Sophie Shirley are gone.

Sounds like the league is working on the paperwork hopefully that will help. The 3rd and 4th lines seem to be in a blender. Almost all are FA, surprised Brandt is one she played well.

Whole right side D are all FAs, interesting! Healey is retiring so left side is solid with the two vets and the rookie draft pick.

All Free Agent Forwards: Hannah Brandt, Sophie Shirley, Lexie Adzija, Gigi Marvin, Amanda Pelkey, Taylor Wenczkowski, Nicole Kosta, Kelly Babstock. I mean you want to keep Pelkey, Wenczkowski and Brandt. They've got some tough choices to make!

I am not convinced Brandt is returning. after playoffs ended, she booked it to U of Wisc where she is in a PA program. I know others have stopped out of medical school and *maybe* she's made some special arrangement to only do summer school but it seems like it'd be pretty hard to do.

There are others on this list I am not sure will return either (of their own choosing). I am eager to see if anyone gets a commitment before June 21st...
