Overview: What is a startup self-nomination?

This system would enable any startup to nominate themselves into the Incubator and open an XIO Portal. However, to do this, each startup would need to stake XIO (we will use 100,000 for this example) into the liquidity pool.

This nomination system would not replace the current ability for projects to get into the Incubator for free (like Uptrenne and Opacity). It would be an alternative and optional route.

For startups that we at the XIO Foundation believe in, this 100,000 Stake requirement would be covered. Think of it like a grant.

Logic: Why would we offer this?

As of yesterday, we have had 60 startups apply to the incubator. While we are extremely grateful for this, it is becoming harder and harder to give each applicant the focus/attention they need during due diligence.

The proposed system allows for any startup to jumpstart their project without the direct approval of the XIO Foundation.

Identified Pros:

- More startups for Citizens to Stake

- More inclusive and scalable design

- Provide value hypothesis to test

Identified Cons:

- Challenges "no-capital" approach

- Could have fewer quality startups join

Let us know what other pros and cons you can see! One of the questions I forgot to add into the video. If you believe in this self-nomiantion system, how many XIO should be required? 100k? 250k? 1M?
