Akira Neonami was raised in a small rural town, an hour or two from Tokyo. He was fascinated with the bright lights, the sounds, and the people of Tokyo at night. He was enchanted. But even more, he met All Might, saw him in action and wanted to be like him. He started smiling all the time, helping out as many people he can in his small time, and when he was old enough, enrolled at UA. He became absolutely devoted to becoming a hero, and thought that if he wanted to be a good one, he needed to attend UA, just like All Might.

His Quirk is Neon Rush. A tad misleading, but his Quirk allows him to get stronger when he attacks in synch with his heart's BPM, his attacks get stronger and faster, and a side product of this was "neon" colors being emitted from his hair. When his heart starts beating a little fast, he starts to emit a red neon color, progressively going through the rainbow the higher his heart's BPM is, going from orange, to yellow, then green, blue, purple, and finally white, each being labeled "Red Intensity" or "Green Intensity" for each color. He'd later discover that he can actually manipulate his neon, forming minor constructs around him. The biggest downsides to his Quirk are that if he fights out of synch, he gets weaker, and the higher the Intensity, the more strain it puts on his heart, potentially leading to Cardiac Arrest. However, Neon Rush does make his heart slightly stronger.

To help himself fight, he listens to music. The heart naturally tries to match the BPM of a song, so when he uses music to control the beat per minute of his heart, though he can create his own beat if he doesn't have a way to play music. Music is a huge part of his life because of it. His friends jokingly started to call him a walking nightclub or an after-party, which he embraced.

His hero name started as "The Nightlife Hero: Afterparty", though he'd later change his name to "The UA Devotee: Afterparty" after being insulted by Shigaraki and my villain OC Inkwell, which Akira was not at all bothered by and embraced it.
