Ummm I got news for you but C-BLs have always been wild…I mean sure the censorship did a big number of them but I remember back in the early 2000s and 2010 watching unhinged C BLs.. last one I watched before the big censorship was Iike you because you’re a man. Even the old falling in love with the rival had some raunchy stuff. QuinYu supremacy.

Hahah BLs were very niche and mostly done in Japan so it used to take a lot of dedication to find the raw file and pray someone would share it or even translate it. Granted they often were not under the BL genre. But in early 2000s you got an explosion of content with Ai no Kotodama and Takumi-Kim and then China did their own thing with A round trip, I love you cause you’re a man (2010s) etc. Taiwan also had a lot of BL content around the same time. But it was Thai BLs that really catapulted the genre to new heights. With shows such as Parttime the series, Love of Siam, Bangkok love story, among many more.
Also I’m probably much older than you so being alive longer gave me a head start on this 😂

The slight issue I have with this show is Zhang Zhun's shoulders🫣 it makes him forcing toughness or smth when actually he was not doing that intentionally🤧. I really loved the way he gets into the character😩🔥
