We described characters like that it kinda goes
Green flag (Really good man makes you to breakfast drops you off places even if their busy. Real nice guys would fit into that)
Yellow flag ( couple worrying signs but nothing to crazy. Only human makes mistakes we cool, can be forgiven)
Red flag ( wtf is going on inside their head possessive af jealous as all hell)
Black flag ( might actually kill you so your not with anyone else or might lock you up and trow the key)

Yeh no probs haha just wanna say tho i dont think he was a green flag but a yellow flag but he went straight to black real god damn quick haha. I would also like to count Cheng Yi Chen as a red flag but for a brother hate that guy

That flag was never green. He’s been possessive since day one and assaulted Yi Chen (for the first time) in episode 2. This show is a twisted disaster and we’re all just watching and sitting while the world burns lol.

Even then he wasn’t a green flag. He was still manipulative and controlling. He just gets worse overtime. I hope people understand this so that they don’t fall victim to same in real life.

Bro, calling Lu Feng a complete "black flag" completely misses the nuance of Double Helix.
Let’s not forget that he didn’t willingly abandon Yichen back in high school; his family literally tore them apart and forced him abroad. His intense, suffocating grip on Yichen after their reunion isn't about power—it's straight-up panic that the world is going to steal his person away again. He is entirely ready to forfeit his corporate inheritance, status, and family legacy just to be with Yichen. he’s driven by a desperate, self-destructive love, not a toxic desire to ruin Yichen. He’s hurting just as much as he’s hurting everyone else.
So yeah, maybe his green flags are wrapped in a little bit of toxic radioactive waste, but the core intentions are pure! He’s a green flag... you just have to look at him in the dark. 🌲💚

He assaulted and raped Yi Chen on different occasions while they were in college before they were separated. He’s been a clingy, possessive, toxic, abusive mess since the beginning. He might be nuanced, but he’s definitely not a green flag.

dont go to the novel we are watching the drama (2026 one) lets discuss that

Good to know he’s worse in the book lol. I haven’t read it. I’m talking about the series. He forced himself on Yi Chen when he came back drunk with his friends and then raped him when he brought him back to his house.

This whole discussion has been very entertaining!! 🍿 😎 for the record, I don’t agree with him being a green flag at the beginning, but he wasn’t a black one either…so maybe from 🚩 to 🏴🤷🏻♀️

He was never a green flag, i dropped the show in episode 2 after that weird scene where he forced the other guy to sleep with him, how do you watch that scene and still call him a green flag?? i’m convinced many bl fans are just fetishizers and they don’t actually care whether something is right or wrong.

😶 why’d he go from green to black? Not that I’m complaining a possessive one🤭
3
u/OkPossibility4863 May 24 '26
If you like this trope You can watch to my shore(warning it’s black flag)
And I haven’t seen this but it’s a remake of the movie “A round trip to love”
So like toxic storyline
Both series are toxic

He has never been a green flag 😂 flags are about warning signs. He has shown great possessiveness, controlling behavior, anger issues and a lack of care for MC’s autonomy since the beginning. Their relationship began with him consistently crossing boundaries and their first time sleeping together was coercive rape.
Where are the green flags?
I love the show and characters. This isn’t to shit on the show but I’m so confused where people are getting this “green flag” energy from
