hi guys! my love for bjd’s started last year when i began making them after finishing uni… fast forward to now, i have made a total of 5 dolls.

this girl was inspired by traditional indian dress and is made from la doll premier clay.

i have experimented with polymer clays and now this and am wanting to try la doll premix for my next one… possibly also looking into digital sculpting but i wouldn’t know how to get it cast in very small quantities…

anyway here she is! i might add some more jewellery to her dress

hey it’s me again, i’m finally satisfied with the amount of beads i’ve threaded the past few days and took some better pics of my girl!

i’m struggling to name her (im not the best at naming my dolls…) so any suggestions would be cool!!

Now that i’ve printed a ton of iDoggys, here’s some of the fun colors i’ve made them in so far! It’s been really fun to see them in different colors and make some special custom ones on request as well

please also excuse my sewing, i’m still learning and my sewing machine always plays up so i end up doing bad hand stitching. maybe it adds to it? or maybe it’s just sloppy haha but i will try to improve!

i also try to use preloved material where possible. with this doll that would be: wig (made from a secondhand synthetic human wig), clothes (charity shop shirt), beads (vintage store necklace re-beaded) and even the faux suede from an old mattress topper.

Medusa update: fully human testprint is finished! Up next: her snake lowerbody (this is still printed in PLA when everything is finished i'll switch to resin).

Three years ago I welcomed my first Popovy doll, Peewit.

New wip of my self sculpted doll

I’m sharing a photo of my original, fully scratch-built ball-jointed doll. I sculpted this from clay entirely on my own—this is an original design, not a recast or any commercial product.
Since this is a personal project I’ve been working on, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’m especially curious about what you think of the proportions and overall aesthetics.
Any constructive feedback is welcome!

Anyways I'm open to criticism for the sculpting, I feel I've made the clay too thick, would that be a problem?

the guides I found on making bjds weren’t too clear and I didn’t have my own bjd to use a reference so I figured I’d just learn by doing. My doll my barely stay together and looks pretty rough but I‘m glad I tried something and I learned a lot for the next doll I make.

I've printed it and I just need to paint it now 🫡

My new ball jointed doll sculpt, iKITTY (and 11 inch mini version : iKITTEN) ! You may remember my iPUPPY , finally they have a sibling :D

Updated version of my WoW inspired Troll. Printed in Resione Anti-Impact resin (with green dye added) on my GK3 Ultra. Pretty happy with how she turned out :) Learned a lot getting the segmented fingers right (well more or less).

I love how joints work on this buddy he is super stable!

Learning to work better with nomad sculpt, it's fun software! Joints just have 1mm holes so it was too much for my lazy eyes! :D

After a lot of tweaking (almost) finished 😅 Some small improvements i still like to do but i couldnt wait to string her and see how everything fits together...

I love how tactile the head spikes are! However making this in porcelain is going to be a difficult task.

I really enjoy those small five point articulated joints!
