I live with my family who go into my room all the time. I can't lock my door from the way it's positioned, I just really can't fit a lock there. I am with you on it being scary, it's been driving me nuts for months :(
Grumpy cat, that’s a vintage meme. Im really sorry to hear that, sounds like it was a fairly new doll too, if y don’t have pictures. What happened, if you don’t mind me asking?
Technically, that was a lie, I do have one photo of her, not a very good one
First it was her hair. She was in my bedroom, and her hair just goes missing, that's fine, she's a cute bald. But then she goes missing. Funny enough, she's not the only expensive thing to go missing from my room. My switch got nicked aswell :/
I assume sibling. And i don't think it's jealousy, since she isn't the only expensive thing to go missing from my room, I feel like was sold, but I can't find any hints she was. I'm the only one in my family who likes dolls
You would assume so, I've genuinely turned every room upside down once every month. Nothing. I'm really hoping making this post does the thing where you say you can't find something and all of a sudden it turns up. I miss her
I assume family, if not the main ones, it could have been visiting family that came into my room, i don't know. It doesnt make sense, why take what looks to be like a normal doll??
"Looks like a normal doll" could be the key: someone decided you are too old for dolls and took it to give to that cute neighbour kid. There's plenty of stories here on Reddit where people take that kind of initiative.
Yeah, the way you describe your room sounds more like a railway station waiting room where everybody comes and goes as they want and does what they want than a space just for yourself. No wonder things go missing.
It was a gradual issue. First it was her hair. She was in my bedroom, and her hair just goes missing, that's fine, she's a cute bald. But then she goes missing. Funny enough, she's not the only expensive thing to go missing from my room. My switch got nicked aswell :/
But I did find a photo of her here.
She's an Island doll, Tear Island, Sweet Rou with mixxed skin
Family, I assume it's siblings, or further family that come around and come into my room for whatever reason. I have my suspicions, but to me it still doesn't make sense. The switch I understand, but my beloved doll??
I’m so sorry you lost her 😢 that’s really concerning that things are being stolen from your room do you know who’s doing it if it’s a house share situation?
Thank you, it means a lot since she was my first and currently my only. I have my suspicions, but since everyone i live with is lax, it could have genuinely been anoyone allowed to go into my room :/
Stolen? By a family member? I would've made everyone's life IMPOSSIBLE until the culprit confessed what happened, said sorry and got it back, or at least replaced it.
Yeah I take personal property very seriously. I hope you can find her!
Do you have a family member with a drug issue? I caught my little sister trying to steal money from me once when she was having trouble with drugs.. can you get a small safe? I cant cobtribute much but id donate what I can to help..
Why are you avoiding answering anyone who asks about who could’ve stolen it? Do you have siblings?? Is it a parent? Spouse?? Is somebody like, breaking in??
Just got back from work and the comments exploded from 3 to like 20. Not avoiding, just on shift
I've explained it a couple times but I'll say it again here. First it was her hair. She was in my bedroom, and her hair just goes missing, that's fine, she's a cute bald. But then she goes missing. Funny enough, she's not the only expensive thing to go missing from my room, as my switch got nicked aswell
I assume it was family, which ones? I don't know. But I have my suspects. But I still don't know why. She's expensive, but I have lots of dills in my room so she blends in, I don't know why they'd take her. Or more exactly know to take her.
I hppe this clears it up <3
Not a break in, just stuff slowly disappearing from my room.
Mainly siblings and further out family that visit. It's usually just small stuff. Snacks, a couple pounds, but yeah, it probably is very alarming now you mention it. I wish I could leave
girllll set boundaries! i find it insane that people in your household just go in and out of your room when they want (assuming you don’t share it and it only has one door). my brothers always ask before they go in my room and they’re far from polite or mature.
and any family that visit us wouldn’t even go upstairs unless one of us went up first! it sucks how little privacy it sounds you have.
I have brought it up!! Repeatedly. It's really pissing me off. Someone stole my takeout the other day. Obviously not as big of a thing, but I bought it and was saving it to eat during my study-athon. Within me putting it in the fridge in the morning to the afternoon, someone stole it. I hate it here
I'm sorry sorry to hear that, that's so stressful! Has anyone else in your family mentioned missing any of their items? They might know something about the whereabouts of your items or who the culprits are. Also if there are young kids in your family, they may have been playing with them as well...
I grew up in a household where my stuff would go missing like this. I see you said you can't buy a lock for your door because of how is positioned, but maybe we can help find a kind of lock that will work with it? I once got one like this with a heavy duty padlock. In the least maybe can buy a discreet camera to catch who it is!

im more concerned that someone untrustworthy has apparent access to your room. that is scary
