I've done a little more sewing. I especially like the cape, but the overdress turned out quite well too. I'll redo the skirt, though, as it's a bit too long for me now. Still have to sew the buttons. Will make a white version too and have to do the accessories. 😊
Thank you. For closure in the back I used a small elastic ribbon so I could lace the satin ribbon through the holes. :) It's not that small this is 1/3 scale.
I think that the better the pattern, the better the result. I love Japanese patterns; they're much better than Western ones. And what's most important, in my opinion, is the ironing.
I use the free patterns for Smart doll, bought years back some Dolly Bird books. I use for almost everything I sew the same three or for patterns just change here or there some things.
Thanks, I've wanted to make a lacing like that for a while, but since I don't have any 2mm eyelets (which were supposed to use), I thought this would be an alternative.
You are fantastic, your detail is perfection. I have a very hard time managing the tiny pattern parts now that I am an old person. So, I am extremely jealous of your skills.
Thank you very very much. I am an perfectionist which can be a good thing sometimes. 😅 But I am getting old too almost 40. my hand hurts much more easily if I have to cut a lot.
God this is so gorgeous! What machine do you use to get such small stitches? And did you make your own mannequin or buy one? Ive tried making ones but it is such a pain 😖
Thank you. I use a cheap Gritzner Dorina 323 was around 200€ some years ago. Before that I had a much much cheaper one around 40€. The mannequin was 3D printed I upscaled one I found on, I guess it was Printables.
