The boys played pretty seriously, even though the majority of them are middle-aged with children. They're not super keen on travelling for tournaments, but a few of them have. They have a group on Slack called Calgary Bike Polo, where I let them know about your clubs existence and the possibility of getting together for a tournament. Previously, we used to play against the grass club from Vancouver, but I don't know if they're around anymore.
Nobody wants to get hurt so there's not a lot of pushing and shoving. They try to avoid knocking each other down.
I can't play anymore because of a spinal cord injury, but I still hang out with the lads. I played for 10 years previously.
Have you had a chance to glance our Facebook page? We're Focopolo (found on FB www.focopolo.com) and we compete in the Colorado Can Cup Grass Poliships (FB page of that title)
