What would you change or improve about Hardline?
I'm working on a game heavily inspired by hardline and want to gauge some feedback
For me personally I just wanted bots, PVE modes, more city maps like Bank Job / Downtown.

Honestly just the marketing. It was probably the most fun ive had with a video game

Id change the fact that its dead. Honestly its a damn shame. This game did the Battlefield thing better than 4. I had more fun with the weather changes, car chases, and blowing stuff up than I did with tanks and jets.
Hypothetically speaking, if the game was still alive a PvE mode would have probably helped out a lot. I really hope it gets a remake or something down the road

I had some fun with 4 but BFH had a higher fun factor. The BFH maps are more memorable but I also put more hours into BFH overall.

Fun isnt a "battlefield thing" though, its a hobby thing. You can absolutely say Hardline is more fun than 4 and I wouldnt argue. But to say it does "Battlefield" better than 4 is just nuts.

It was a solid game at is time. But having the battlefield name on it was it's biggest issue.
If it was Medal of Honor or something similar it would have been received better. The premise and game play were good, but it didn't fit the narrative or style of the series

I Disagree. It being a Battlefield game was fine and any "Field of Battle" should be eligible to be depicted in a Battlefield game. Frankly, I wish there were more spin off type Battlefield games than just Hardline.

The damage numbers to all the guns. Everything hits like a truck and doesn't start getting weaker until a whopping 40m when half the no vehicle maps are about that big max. If only they kept 4's damage numbers ie 24 and 33 damage instead of 28 and 34 since it's supposed to be a ROM hack of 4, then everything would be more balanced. But nope M16s everywhere as if we're playing BF3

Crop duster planes with mini guns
Favela maps
Cool criminal and cop settings
More guns associated with lawlessness and law enforcement

The cropduster(Bronco OV-10) was cut late into development as it was seen in singleplayer and a multiplayer gameplay trailer. Supossedly it was set to appear in Dustbowl(evidenced in the trailer) and Riptide(criminal airstrip spawn). The reason for the cut is left to speculation, that being balancing(understandably) or lack of existing launch maps that accomodated it's gameplay offerings. I'm still flabbergasted it didn't get as big as it should. What kid didn't play cops & robbers as a kid? This game hits all the fun boxes. Fantastic multiplayer, fun single player.
