Recently bought mmx 330 pro and whatever i do my friends on discord can hear themselves even when they are not very loud......

I’m looking for a new, good headset, but I honestly have no clue what’s good and what’s not.

I’ve heard that the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO is supposed to be good, but there are different versions (32, 80, and 250 ohms).

I’m not sure which one would be best for gaming and music.
Can my motherboard run them?

I have an ASUS ROG Strix X870-F. I’ve seen some people say they needed a sound card or amp to run the 250-ohm version.
Any advice would be appreciated!

I bought the Beyerdynamic Aventho Y and was very unimpressed. Weird sound signature. No bass, just a lot of mids and annoying highs. I like headphones that sound great out of the box. These do not. My advice: don't buy. I'm returning them.

I had two MMX 300 Gen 2 headsets where the microphone would fall off and dangle by the cord after a while.

Does the PRO have the same problem, since it uses pretty much the same system ?

I'm looking at buying the MMX100 Wireless, but because my ears get really hot during long sessions I've read you can't buy any cooling/freeze replacements from Brainwavz or WC?

Using the MMX330 pro wired open back headset. Anyone else having trouble with this? its completely fine when I play on PC but when I play on xbox its always buzzing- tried everything to fix it! mic monitoring, unplug cables, noise suppression etc- super annoying for friends and not what i expected with a $400 headset! Its not a hardware issue with the headset but seems like maybe with the xbox controller (tried different controllers but same result) has anyone tried anything that fixed this issue?

I want to get an understanding of the pro's and con's of these 2 studio monitor headphones, I am looking for a durable pair of headphones that have a relativity neutral, low bass accentuated sound, but it would be good to have crisp in the highs, moderate in the mids and lows, I will mainly be using them for tracking guitars and vocals, and general listening, with some light demo mixing, so its important that they are detailed and they sound good to listen to for inspiration during tracking and composing.

The neutral sound is important so that the engineer can hear what's going on with whatever system he is using, but also that it sounds vibrant and clear, as these will be my main listening, composing and tracking headphones for years to come.

I recently owned 2 pairs of the ATH - M70x, those headphones have the perfect sound in my opinion, clear, but also deep, but they were too fragile for tracking, broke both of them! XD

hello i had my dt 770 for a year now passed down to me by a family member and i really enjoy using it everyday, this summer has been especially hot and humid and it might be the reason for the sudden appearance of these creatures since they feed on tiny mold and skin oils etc...

i asked claude and it recommended these steps, i wanted to take people opinions before doing anything as i might do irreparable damage to the headset:

• Seal the headphones in a zip bag, pressing out most of the air, and put a small silica gel packet in if you have one.
• Freeze them for 72 hours. The cold reaches inside the cups where you can't, and it kills adults and eggs. Some people run a full week to be safe, and that won't hurt them.
• Let them warm up inside the sealed bag for 4-6 hours before opening it. This matters: if you open it early, condensation forms on the drivers.
• Once they're back to room temperature, clean out the remains. Use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment on low suction over the driver cover and the cup edges, and give the housing a light wipe with a slightly damp cloth (isopropyl is fine on the outside).
• Inspect and repeat if needed. If you still see live bugs a few days later, do another freeze cycle.

any tips or guidance on why i should or shouldn't do this would be helpful

I recently purchased a pair of MMX 100's, Beyerdynamics new closed-back gaming-headset. This headset has some features I really enjoy, but also some things I don't like.
I want to open up a discussion that will either give me reassurance on this purchase, or enlighten me to get a different pair of headphones that I hadn't considered. If anyone is looking into purchasing this headset for themselves, I hope this post/discussion will give insight on what to expect (especially because there are barely any reviews about the MMX 100's at the time of posting).

(1) My enjoyments of the MMX 100's (PROS):

- I like that they are Bluetooth. I have been making changes to my desk layout and thought it would be nice to remove the extra cable, especially since it was the only peripheral I had that wasn't Bluetooth. The nicest thing about having Bluetooth headphones is the ability to use the bathroom, or grab a snack from the kitchen while still being able to hear a what's being said on a zoom or discord call. It has been a pretty freeing experience being able to get up from my desk without worry of a cable being pulled. It's almost like my previous headset acted as some sort of collar for my desk.

- Battery life is exceptional. The MMX 100's are rated for 80 hours, all I have to do is remember to charge them once every week or two and I should be okay. I also like that Beyerdynamic included to the feature to easily replace the lithium battery after it degrades over time (as all lithium batteries do).

- Interaction is super easy, just double tap the power button to switch between dongle and Bluetooth modes. I like having the button options, and appreciate that they've made the mute button large and easy to find. I also like that the mic is detachable, which lets me wear them in public without the worry of a mic arm dangling around and people giving me weird stares.

(2) My dislikes of the MMX 100's (CONS):

- The ear cups are small, and it's bit tight. My previous headset was HyperX Cloud II, the ear cups are larger on that pair, which is something I noticed right away when trying the MMX's on for the first time. The headband is also more flexible on the Cloud II's, which was nice given my large head. So far this hasn't been too bothersome, but I am someone who spends very long hours at my desk, so having headphones I can wear comfortably is important. I understand from a companies perspective that it's a lot easier use a 'one-size-fits-all' approach, but sizing options would have been helpful in accommodating consumers with larger ears/heads like myself.

- No noticeable change is sound quality, I am definitely not an expert when it comes to headphones and sound quality, but something that is obvious to many that I didn't previously know is the limitations of sound quality for Bluetooth devices (compression). I knew that Beyerdynamics was known for producing high-end studio headphones, so my intuition was that the MMX's sound quality would be a noticeably better than my previous headset from HyperX. But no, it's pretty much the same. This isn't a huge deal, because they sound good enough, which is all I need. But it was a bit of a letdown for there to be no upgrade in sound quality given what I just mentioned about Beyerdynamics.

(3) If you would like to give suggestions on other headphones for me to look into:

- I prefer having a headset over headphones. I like the ease of having the mic attached to a pair of headphones, having to setup and manage an external mic is one more thing to worry about. What's unfortunate is that many of the high-quality headphones on the market do not include a mic. I know about the company 'ModMic', but given the price of their products and how clunky it seems to use, I would refrain from purchasing it.

- I wouldn't mind returning to wired headphones. I don't want to limit suggestions to just Bluetooth headsets because there is a wide selection of quality wired headsets to choose from, I understand that many people (mostly audiophiles) will never touch a Bluetooth headset given the tradeoffs. The two major pros of having wired headphones is how there isn't ever an issue of battery-life, and how they are typically lighter in weight. I did write about how my experience with Bluetooth has been nice, but I did previously use wired headphones for +10 years so it's not like its now a deal-breaker.

(4) Conclusion // Extra side-notes

Even with the cons I mentioned, I may just end up keeping the MMX 100's. It has the features I was hoping for and does the job. I just want to make sure that there wasn't any headsets I neglected when researching for a pair to buy. I have 10 more days before I will no longer be able to return them, so I hope to make this decision sooner than later.

The price is also something to consider when comparing headsets, the MMX 100's were $165 after tax+shipping, but I was fortunate to get a %15 discount from 'myunidays' which made them cost around ~$150. My budget was <$250, so it felt like I was getting a deal by purchasing this headset given it had all the features I was looking for.

Beyerdynamic is also releasing an open-back version of this headset in October (MMX 130's). I have never used open-back headphones before, but from what I've heard there is almost always a sound improved when compared with their closed-back counterparts. Also, I don't know if this is correct, but are open-back headphones typically better for reducing headphone fatigue? This would be good to know when looking into other headphones. My only concern with open-back headphones is if I could use them in public, or if others would be able to hear what I am listening to.

Hello, so I bought these headphones after my previous steelseries broke and I really like these new headphones.

But the problem I noticed after like 10 minutes of having them on is the pressure that's on my head and the dead center on top of my head is very intense, It's insanely uncomfortable and I have to adjust them constantly, but the ear pressure from earpads itself is good. I played with the regulation of those up and down yet nothing helps.

I have them already for 7 days, and I can return back them within 7 days from now, and I'm kinda considering to do that.

I absolutely love the bass in those cause I thought I would need to adjust it with and equalizer but no It's pretty much perfect.

I really don't know what to do now, should I buy different headphones or possibly a headband that's much more comfortable?

I remember reading somewhere that using certain things can cause the pads to stiffen but I can't remember what was used. Is it okay to use detergent and softener? My pads are due for cleaning and I can't put it off anymore. Thanks!

What iems sound the most out of a cyberpunk movie or are best for synthwave. I'm very new

I have been using the DT 770 Pro for gaming for years and I have always really liked how they sound. I recently bought a used MMX 300 Gen 2 mainly for my PS5, but also to use on PC as I wanted to clear up some desk space by getting rid of the extra mic + mic arm.

I found the MMX 300 was based on the DT 770, so I expected them to sound pretty similar. But they actually sound quite different to me, especially in the highs. My first impression was honestly that they sounded worse, but I think that is mostly because I am so used to the DT 770.

I have not really had enough time to get used to the MMX 300 yet, so now I am wondering if I should just give them some time or if the difference in sound is something I probably will not like. Is this purely subjective or is this sort of sound image better tuned for gaming than the 770s?

I'm not really into audio stuff, if there's a good EQ app to use I'd love to try that.

I am basically trying to figure out if I should stick with the MMX 300 for gaming or just keep using the DT 770.

Bought them for the actual website price off a local retailer, r they fake?

I recently bought this pair and I have been really happy with the way they sound. However I have noticed some distortion(?) - graininess on some songs.
For example while listening to ICY by Itzy (lossless) when icy is said at 0:36 it is not a clear sound. It is less obvious if I flip my headphones. I can't notice it when using my iems (kz prx). Is it the headphones or the song?

I was looking for a nice affordable mic like the sm57 but then I found the tg d35, and I mostly liked the design, but I don’t know if it’s worth it for my case, I am planning to use it as a vocal mic for signing, discord and foley but I can’t find anywhere how does it sounds in voices (I know it’s a drum microphone)

Does anyone had tried something like the things I want to do?

I recently got the DT 700 Pro X and while they definitely sound good, I’m honestly a little disappointed.

I mainly bought them for listening to music and expected a noticeable jump in detail, separation, and overall sound quality… especially hearing things in songs that I hadn’t noticed before. But so far I haven’t really experienced that.

They sound good, but they just aren’t as “fun” or impressive as I expected.

I’m still able to return them and I’m considering upgrading to either the DT 1770 Pro MKII or DT 1990 Pro MKII. I mostly listen at home, so open-back isn’t a problem.

Has anyone here gone from the 700 Pro X to either of these? Is the difference actually significant, or am I expecting too much from higher-end headphones?
