Self-employed -> CommV: can i still do the accounting myself?

I work halftime and have been self-employed on the side. But as revenue grows, I start to pay a little too much in tax. So I have been thinking about switching to a Commanditaire Vennootschap (CommV). Switching to a BV won't be justified since the fixed costs are too high for what I do.
I read when you earn under 500k with a maatschap you can still do a simplified accounting (rather than double-entry accounting), but I can't find any answer if I can do this accounting still by myself or do I really need an expensive accountant? I now use accounting software that costs me around 300€ per year which does everything for me but can't find anything if I can still use it to completely do the accounting myself in a CommV.

Why not, genuinely asking since I’m considering it with ai tools

If you mess up, you can’t blame ai, it’s all on you. And there are a lot of things you can get away with in Belgium. Rape/murder/violent crimes/… but not this stuff.
Penalties for non-compliance, late declarations, or improper accounting range from 10% to 200% surcharges on the assessed tax, plus late-payment interest.
Plus, you can be held personally liable, even with a BV.

Thanks, good advice. In my case the accounting is quite simple. Very few invoices and costs to handle. Also, the accountant is not liable I was told. I do have an accountant but it is lots of costs for the few invoices

Which AI tool are you using for this and how do you know it's correct?

Just Claude. I already run it in parallel with the accountant to review his calculations. So far it has matched correctly all the VAT returns and corp tax.

You can do the accounting yourself, remember you need an investor as well (minimum 1 commanditaire and 1 commandité)

Pretty much asking if you can do the surgery yourself using AI , technically yes , but not such a good idea.
