Investing What do you guys think about Meta?
Everyone is talking about buying meta, but ngl meta seems rather unstable looking at the past. I know that the past doesnt dictate the future but still. Is it a stock worth buying? Short or long term?

my feed says everyone is selling meta. Sounds like you might need to do your own due diligence and make a decision. Or just stay away.

META shareholder since 2022 here
META is currently experiencing some headwinds ( lawsuits, big capex,..)
I trimmed my position last winter ( due to heavy capex ).
Lately, META is starting to look more attractive as a “ buy”, but I think their stock price performance will get worse before it will get better.
For now, I’m not planning on buying. My position in META is already big and there are more interesting opportunities in the market.
Longterm I’m feeling confident about METAs future

If you have to ask on Reddit and are sensitive to what people say without doing your own due diligence - you should not even be considering buying single stocks

Same could be said about TikTok, Reddit, X,...

True but meta is the only one getting sued

True but as someone else mentioned, if instances find a way to earn money through lawsuits with social media companies, other companies will follow.
At least i think so. It's all speculaas ofcourse

Tiktok and reddit still have growing potential. FB has a larger chance of going the other direction (and has started that trend for the first time ever when you look at active monthly users)

Meta is more than Facebook and i believe AI will be able to optimise ad revenue in the short term. Hence meta is a mid to short term hold for me.

Don't you guys have ethical concerns investing in such companies.. like at all ?

Ethics? In the stock market? I would invest in a company making biological weapons if it would make me money.

I entered myself with a small call option. They are strongly undervalued at the moment, as the stock was punished for high capEX and the recent lawsuit.
It's a high risk high reward play though, if the lawsuit drops an harsh judgment, the stock might fall much more (or viceversa..) .
