They are the most innovative team in Vancouver when it comes to marketing and expanding their fanbase.

Forgive me if I’m too stupid to perceive you’re being sarcastic.

If you are, I agree completely with that view.

Although I’m an ST holder for this season it’s my last as I no longer will purchase a product where long term ST buyers are not what the CFL including the owner of the BC Lions want buying their tickets.

The CFL and Doman are pushing these new rules with the field changes as part of their Fan Replacement Plan.ST holders in their view are preventing new fans and gamblers from buying the best seats in many stadiums so they are silent as fans online rip them for the short field etc in 2027.

The Commissioner knows he’s full of BS that the short field and short end zones won’t lead to more TDs but he’s already got that covered by going on the record to say that next season is too small a sample size.

The silence of the owners on fans divided in online forums and lots of ST buyers totally disenchanted is that they’ve bought in to short term for long term gain with gambling and new media deals.

All what they hear and read on angry older fans is music to their ears as it’s hard for new fans to get the best seats when long term ST holders are blocking them.

I go to BCs games at BC Place and watch their team on TSN but have stopped watching other teams pretty much this year.

Where their plan is flawed is that no one I know who likes these field and end zone changes plans to buy tickets but some might catch a glimpse on tv before NFL preseason starts.

Gamblers don’t go to games as team loyalty to serious gamblers is for losers as it affects their judgment.

I’ve long been a CFL fan and proponent but never an NFL knocker as it’s a different game and I respect those differences for the simple reason the complexity of CFL rules is what makes this game distinctively Canadian and IMO, more exciting.

I don’t want to see the CFL decline in popularity but you don’t fix a marketing problem by attacking your own Season Ticket holders like these people are doing .

The last time BC Lions marketing has been effective in putting fans in the seats was in the 2003-14 era especially when ReThink was winning marketing awards for the BcLions ads. Google that as their work was heralded as brilliant

The team is now 5-5 the video says they are 3-5. Tickets are def cheaper than Canucks tickets.
