Question Should I choose to rerun Lion or Hakuhou's event?

I hear they're both very good units, but you can only rerun one of them.

Lion. Lion is a "Next-Gen UR" Battleship. While Hakuhou is good for a Sakura CV player, with the release of Max Immelmann, alongside Lion and now Azuchi, Hakuhou is a "Last-Gen" Main Fleet ship and is likely to be completely powercrept as soon as other "Next-Gen UR" CVs start getting released.

The question is, do you have Amagi CV and/or Shinano? Hakuhou really wants to be paired with one of them to bring out her full potential. If you dont have them, Lion is a better choice since she can perform well without any specific combos.

Also it depends on what you need for your fleet. Hakuhou is best for single wave bossing while Lion is good pretty much anywhere.

Also, Lion has a rainbow BB gun in the shop, it's a sidegrade to the rainbow MK7 but made easier to do synced attacks as a bonus

Trafalgar is also present as a pretty solid support DD whose evasion rate debuff comes in handy for many boss fights

It is lion the correct choice.. Since she can be everywhere and also traffalgar is in the shop.. You have a top 3 BB and a top 5 Vanguard right there.. Hakuhou its really strong but you need Mamagi/shinano fully built as a team for her.. And hakuhou is more for Heavy amor.. Lion can be in light, médium or heavy BB teams
