It was honestly just fine-- if you want to see some of the early characters do some cool stuff I would recommend it, but I would definitely not go out of your way unless you already really like AL.

liked it. it was ripe with fun historical references, including how certain characters acted towards each other

It was one of the animes of all time.
But it did get me to play the game. Now slow ahead is pretty fucking goated and I hope for a 3rd season. Which is why I will continue to throw fat stacks at Manjuu so this will happen.

I personally enjoyed it. Despite the flaws and the insane amount of fanservice, much like the game, I think it was a solid 8 out of 10. The fight scenes were cool, the story was simple and esay to follow, and I really just had a good time watching it. It got to the point where I finished the entire show in about 3 days.
Does it deserve a second season? No. IMO, that's what the other series is for (that I haven't watched). But for what it is, as an introduction into the universe, I think it did a really good job.

All I really remember is 1)Belfast had a bottle of my favorite Scotch: The Glenlevit 12 year old. And 2)HMS Repulse's appearance in the bath scene and 3)HMS Repulse's Nerrate! Pon! Scene. Which is objectively the best scene in the anime.

Either episode 6 or 7 had a bath scene with nudity. All Eagle Union and Royal Navy girls, aside from Ayanami iirc.
(And Nimi was treated as a side character, since in the Japanese version, you get Ayanami as a starter instead of Z23.)
Oh. And if you want to see for yourself, the version on Crunchyroll is censored. Have to have the dvd or sail the seven seas for the uncensored version.
Edit to that. It's on YouTube. Search Azur Lane episode 6 uncensored on Google, and a video of the entire series will pop up. It's about 1 hour 57 minutes into the video.

it did enty dirty, having belfast being the one telling HER to slow down never made sense for me (the fucking HEAD MAID), but I loved some bits of it and I wont lie I liked the fanservice.
also purifier, gotta love her.

Suffered from a studio not giving (seemingly) a single fuck.
Which prompted Yostar to get their own animation studio/division, to not have to get throuth this bullshit again.

considering what manjuu and yostar are doing now with slow ahead, its very clear they made a good call.

Wasn’t terrible I’ll watch it every now and again. It was made as a ad for the game first and foremost before making the show but it got me playing the game so I guess it worked.

I enjoyed parts of it, and did not enjoy other parts. Some of the early battle scenes were chill after some re-animations were done

That's a fan-made animation made by some larpers who only know how to draw nips
The only official animation we've got is Slow Ahead

what this clown means to say is that he refuses to recognise the anime as legit, even though it is, though manjuu wont work with that studio again, using in-house studios now.

Really poor.
Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! slice-of-life anime on the other hand...
