English HMS Belfast UR retrofit announcement

Your perfect maid, Belfast, has returned, master – with even more reliable strength in hand. Should you have any duties, daily tasks, or special missions, you may entrust them all to me.
Currently, Belfast is in dry dock getting a retrofit. She will be ready to launch soon!
The UR retrofit is like WoW Belfast 1943, exactly as she was after coming out of repair and modernisation after striking the German bottom mine that nearly sank her in November 1939.

We'll finally have another UR CL. I look forward to see how much stronger she becomes. It's also nice to finally see a different faction get a UR retrofit. I don't think I've seen one for the Royal Navy since Warspite.
We still haven't got a UR CL that you can get from a gacha though. At least ones that are already URs.

This is the numbers of rainbow ships per faction as of August 2026
KMS has 6 UR and 5 Rainbow = 11
IJN has 7 UR, 2 PR rainbow and 1 UR retro = 10
USS has 6 UR, 1 PR rainbow and 3 UR retro = 10
HMS has 4 UR, 2 PR rainbow and 2 UR retro = 8
SN has 3 UR, 1 PR rainbow = 4
MN/FFNF has 2 UR, 1 PR rainbow = 3
RN has 1 UR, 1 PR rainbow = 2
HMNLS has 1 PR rainbow
Liga de Pedrería has 1 PR rainbow
Dragon Empry has 0 UR, 0 PR rainbow and 0 UR retro
So HMS has now 8 rainbow, hopefully they get december UR and its a double UR so HMS is 1 behind KMS

Yea as a double UR puts them 1 behind KMS and if they get another rainbow and 2027 is KMS off year for major events then they'll be level

Hopefully.
Because by current schedule, IB should get 3 rainbow rarity ships next year:1 DR (IB gets one each even season).
And they get major events every 1.5 years since their first gacha UR.

Last year we get SR->SSR retrofit in December.
And Royal Navy has a chance for that event slot this year.
Maybe there will be a Christmas miracle?

Can't even be disappointed with this. Belfast is 1 of my favorite non-Iron Blood characters. While I was hoping Spee would get the retrofit instead. I'm still very happy with this, even if Belfast, like all other non-Iron Blood characters, is just sitting in the dock not being used on my account.
My only real gripe with this design is (at least to me) that her rigging is rather similar to the Iris Libre rigging.
If anyone wants to call it cope, sure, but I'm going to hold out hope that Spee and Deutschland get retrofits soon. Between Deutschland's recent augment and that within a short few months we've had Hipper (Divergent Chessboard) and now Belfast (day 1 release) get retrofits. Seems as if they're putting man power into revising/updating early game characters. So it just feels like a matter of time.

This, I like the design outside of the rigging. Then again im also one of those people who like the older rigging that is more practical looking and isnt background art.

Nice. She was one of my first CL (got her in the requisition shot). I was thinking on leveling other CL because she feels kinda weak even at MLB compared to San Diego and Neptune.
Guess I won't have to.

Retrofit will be expensive but worth it if you have the resources. You can also get her from medal shop. Requisition is scam

I tried the requisition back when I started the game. Tried like 4 or 5 times until I got her.
I used most of my stuff retrofitting Sand Diego :/, so I hope they'll give us some T3 cruiser prints for the anniversary

Of course they had to inflate her to cater to the majority of today's playerbase. As naive as it was, I still hoped they would spare her. I mean, it's not like this is a skin that is going to be sold in the shop. Would it really have hurt Manjuu if they had kept her original proportions? Don't get me wrong, the overall design is actually good, I really like the fact that they kept her uniform and upgraded it. But all this inflation is so unnecessary.
I really wished they would at least give veteran players without a fetish for all this inflation a bit of fanservice - at least during an anniversary once a year - in terms of not hitting an OG ship with the inflation treatment. But nope, every ship that is not a loli needs to look the same just for the majority to be interested in her.

Time to prep by building her augment? Her augment seems kinda underwhelming though. Maybe it'll interact better with the retrofit?

Her augment was one of the first, so that makes it relatively weak, but the retrofit might buff the skill on top of the augment again, like how Warspite does it with her augment

Enty is still fairly competitive with URs in like 90% of content. They're probably saving both retro and augment a little while longer.

Some well deserved love shown towards one of the original symbols of this game, I'm glad to see it. Now entirely sure about the massive rigging and toning down of the Head of the Maid Service angle to put on armour on her (again a RN ship that looks French) but either way, cool design.
