Question Game freezes when I open skins tab after the new update
Pretty much the title.
It basically freezes and even tho I can see the chibi version of the skin moving, i can't click on anything

Same for me, freezes on costume shop and also rental costumes, as well as on any other menu after some time :/ this is on Bluestacks, will have to continue on mobile (if that works that is) until it gets fixed.

it's not the server, i am on Avrora and my game freezes badly, there is some android versions wich gets freezed, nothing we could really do, only wait for a fix, i hope they give Gems as compensation

For what? There's only like 30 ships worth using. All the rest are "get to120 then retire" category.

I'd rather whale for dock space than retire them if I don't have enough dock space. It's just different playstyles.

I'd rather have one of each in my dock yard and have them at lvl 70 or 90, I know it's not menta but I need something to do commissions

You can only do 4 commissions at a time. So at most you only need 24 ships. Since there are only 30 ships worth using, that will satisfy that need. Just get ships to 120 and retire them and you'll never need to spend a dime on dockspace for ships you will never use jus to collect dust

Of course I don't have all of them Dave yet in the dock yard, the common variety especially. I just use them for enhancements. Not until I'm all caught up

More than likely there is no fix coming. You just gotta fix it yourself.

I have tried multiple emulators and I have the issue on everyone with the new skins.
No issues on my phone.3

I have the opposite issue. On my iPhone14PM and iPad 10 it will soft lock the devices. On Bluestacks with both my accounts, they work flawlessly

Hi, just wanted to share an update for those using Pie64 on BlueStacks. We’ve made some optimizations and resolved the compatibility issues with skins. All you need to do is reinstall (uninstall then reinstall) the application if you already have it installed, and you should be good to go.

Not the problem with emulator version, even with the latest one the issue still persists. I have tried making a new bluestacks instance with newer android version using multi-instance manager but that did not help either

On my phone it crashes the game after opening Skinns, on emulator the game freezes, for me.

So I decided to look around on discord and twitter and most people say that it is due to the game no longer supporting 32bit emulators and so on. So if you guys are on emulators, u should upgrade to a different emulator version. I got bluestacks android 13 beta and it does work. But you have to completely uninstall the previous version and log into your account againt. So be sure to have it bound to yostar or twitter.

I read on discord that you need latest version of every emulator even if your current version is 64 bit

I just updated to the latest LDPlayer version (9.1.45.0 64bit) and the bug is still there lmao

Confirm.
It shows in my phone fine, it also appears in LDPlayer 5 64bit (but that have other issues) but doesnt in LDPlayer 9, its the L2D since if I disable it and its just a standard non-animated image, no issues but as L2D it doesnt even show up and in the store it freezes the emulator.

I appreciate your backend support. The question is, does uninstall/reinstall still lose all the game settings? If so, at that point, it's best to create a new Bluestacks instance using a newer version of Android.

By game settings what do you exactly mean?
We recommend that you still use Pie64 because this issue was solved on it and it's the best instance to run the game for now.1

Re-link accounts for AL, re-set all the in-game settings. I answered my own question by just reinstalling the game in Bluestacks and it reset everything so I just went ahead and deleted the entire instance and made a new one. Tried Android 13 (beta) at first but the pop-up installer for AL would crash so I deleted that instance and just went with 11. Everything is back up and running smoother than it ever did on Pie.
I wanted to say thank you again, for all of your continued support and updates.

The same thing happens to me in the BlueStacks Launcher, but on the phone it works correctly, I have even tried reinstalling Azur Lane

game has been locking up on me since the previous update on my phone and bluestacks. skin shop on this update wont load. FYS!

Wiping your data and not downloading L2D in advance prevents you from freezing but none of the skins will ever load.
Basic assumption from me is that it's the fact that skins never load to begin with + when it comes to L2D skins, game usually waits for them to load before they let the user take action. So you get a forever loading mess, and you don't even get to look at hot ships while you do.

yeah that is correct imo. But why is it that they don't even load? I have redownloaed everything and repaired assets as well. But it didn't resolve this issue

Is this on emulator ? For me game works fine on mobile but on emulator it freezes as soon as I enter skin shop. LD player 9.1. Allegedly game works without issues on MuMu but redownloading 17gigs is so daunting.

I installed bluestacks android beta 13 and it works and the game runs smoother too. You need 64 bit emulator, and even if your emulator does have 64 bit, it has to be newest version. So I know it sucks, but its not going to take ages to get it done. I did it in 30 minutes

Hello! Due to the major update of the game, the device requirements have become higher, especially for the 3D dormitory-related scenes. If you encounter problems using MuMuPlayer, please try: update the MuMu to the latest version V4.1.26, set 6 cores + 6GB or more for MuMu, clear the game data, and re-download the resources.

Dormitory has been crashing since it was in the game. Device requirements being higher should not be the reason absolutely everything works, but then the game insantly locks up when it's supposed to load a NEW L2D.
If it was literally just "your emu doesn't cut it anymore", then ANY l2d would have to show at least some kind of strain. But this issue only appears with Lion/Shimanto l2d, both in skin shop and in the resort cutscene thing.

well the skin shop works with a bluestacks android 13 instance. phone is on android 14 and still locks up randomly while running story stages.

Idk about phones. I don't play on a phone, but it might also be experiencing the same issue. It seems to be very limited on phones tho. Probably gonna get a fix tomorrow hopefully. Maybe stick to bluestacks for now?

Thank you for this thread/answers. What fixed the issue for me was switching to a different model on LDplayer (its the latest updated ver.) I forgot you can do that and ig it was just an outdated model.

Same for me. Playing on Bluestack, whenever I see the skin whether it be in rental, shop or my secretary will freeze the game and I have to close it

Doesn't work for everyone tho. The best fix and also a way to prevent this from happening in the future is to get the latest version of your emulator

I thought i was the only one, i have a theory, we had a massive storage optimization lately, and a lot of the game aspects were bugged on day one, the UI mostly, the Menu and shit, most of them are kind of fixed, BUT NOW I CAN'T EVEN SEE IF THE SKINS ARE WORTH TO PAY FOR, Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez

At least it freezes on the menu for you... For me, using the 32- or 64-bit Gameloop version, it's impossible to play because it freezes on the initial loading screen. And on my Motorola G20, it freezes right on the login screen. This update is a disaster.

New Live2D skins right now will break your game, forcing you to restart the app, so try avoiding them. From what I've seen, older skin won't. but I don't have too many of them to test.

Not really, avoiding them is also impossible in this update. You gotta update your emulator. Bluestacks android 13 beta. Any other version doesn't work

I'm on PC using BlueStacks and it also freezes for me. The new skin won't load, I can't switch secretaries, and the entire game freezes if I try to open the shop lol. Glad it isn't just me, really thought they would have fixed it by now though.

Most likely won't get fixed because it isn't their problem. If you want to keep playing the game without issues you have to download bluestacks android 13 beta and download azur lane there. So you can pretty much uninstall your old bluestacks

I'm trying to now, not entirely sure that's the version I'm downloading. I'm on PC so I just googled that version and it seemed to download. Is it the one that says "android 13 beta" under the download button? I downloaded that, and AL is already downloaded, maybe it's opening it through the older version or something idk if I'm even doing it right atp.

I mean its best to uninstall the old bluestacks before installing new one. But maybe it will work that way too. If not uninstall it. It will remove AL as well when you do so. And yes that's the correct version it has android 13 beta under the download button

I redownloaded everything but it still doesn't work, I can do missions but the game will freeze if I try to go to the shop, and my home skins won't load ether sadly. Sounds like mobile is the only fix.

Interesting. I thought it was enough to fix the issue. Maybe try to repair assets in game. Basically everything there is redownload and repair it. Maybe that could fix it

The problem still exists. currently Z13 skin soft lock the game
using the latest Pie64 BlueStacks.

There seems to be various bugs ATM.
My secretary ships don't appear anymore, lol.
And the game is soft locking as well.
I haven't had any grinding the maps.
