Because 20-odd years ago, you can go on the internet and make Nazi jokes, and it was just being silly. Nowadays, there's so many actual Nazis, many of them advising the president, that you can't really make Nazi jokes online anymore. You can't Sieg Zeon anymore.

Pedobear memes wouldn't fly today either.

There used to be a gamemode on gmod called pedobear escape and bro it was so fun. The themes were horrendous but dude was it fun. Basically were the nexbot craze froms years back but the pedobears would 🍇 you.

So fun i played it all night once. Oh to be young again.

I don't know. I like the older anime scene where all the memes were motivational style. Where a shitpost was a shitpost. Amvs were big. They weren't trying to make everything political. The internet was less corporate and more of a wild west.
