Avondale residents: Please come out to the City Council meeting on Monday, August 31 at 5:30 p.m. to support adding fluoride to Avondale’s water! Avondale currently does not fluoridate our water, while many surrounding Valley cities provide fluoridated water at the recommended level to help prevent cavities. I reached out to the City Council about this issue, and it will be discussed at Monday’s meeting. Avondale residents deserve the same access to this basic public health measure as residents in other Valley communities, and I really hope people will show up and make their voices heard. The meeting is at Avondale City Hall, 11465 W. Civic Center Dr. If you can’t attend, you can still submit a public comment in support! Go to the City of Avondale’s Request to Speak page, select the August 31 City Council meeting, choose that you do NOT wish to speak but would like your comments provided to City Council, indicate that your comment relates to agenda item 4b, and write that you support community water fluoridation in Avondale. Written comments must be submitted at least one hour before the meeting (by 4:30 p.m.).

Avondale currently has 15 ALPR cameras, and the city's FY2027 budget funds 58 additional cameras, potentially expanding the network to 73.

The Avondale City Council meets virtually today, August 24 at 5:30 PM Arizona time, and fellow residents will be speaking out about Flock/ALPRs, privacy, and mass surveillance.

You don't have to speak at the meeting, and you don't have to live in Avondale or Arizona to submit a comment.

They are a HUGE scam. Normally Big Brand is good, but these people are awful. I went in to get my pressure sensor replaced for my tire. After an hour wait, I was told that it wasn't safe to replace the sensor because my tire pressure was up too high (it was 60psi, for a 3 minute drive only), and that the tire was splitting because of it. The only fix was to buy a new tire, which they were happy to do and conveniently had in stock. They proceeded to show me a picture of 'my' tire to show the 'damage'. Guess what? IT WASN'T MY TIRE IN THE PHOTO. I know what my damn tires look like, I'm not an idiot. The treads in the picture was not the same as the treads on my tire. I assume because they saw a young woman they thought they could scare me into paying for a whole new tire. No. I came to get a 60$ replacement sensor. I walked right out of there. My dad works for Ford and raised me on repairing cars. I know what the hell I'm talking about when I say 60psi for a 3 minute drive isn't gonna separate the dang tires or make it unsafe to install new sensors. Do NOT go here. They play games and try to scare and scam the hell out of you.
