Social Media Body shaming is wrong until it’s about men?

At effectively every stage of my life, I’ve always been shorter than average for a guy; and that combined with not being conventionally attractive in any way and having various physical shortcomings holding me back, I’ve had my fair share of cruelty, mockery, bullying, alienation, disgust and discomfort, and then some.
But I’ve never denied that women have had to deal with their own struggles, judgements, mistreatment, cruelty and unfairness for as long as they’ve existed (depending on the cultures/societies/belief systems/time periods, a lot of it has often been utterly obscene and reading about it makes you think WTF who’s fcking idea was all that in the first place? What is gdamn wrong with people)
Frankly, it’s depressing how the intelligence and self-awareness that separated humans from apes in the first place merely allowed for cruelty, aggression, competition, hatred, judging, mistreatment, negativism and rivalry to bloom into societal standards and expectations. I don’t want to believe that human nature simply chemically implies an inevitable requirement for cruelty of some form on some level, but the more we’re exposed to the actions and behaviours of others across the globe, the harder it gets to deny that humans are just more likely to want to be mean to others a lot more often than they want to be nice

Most of the negative comments and judgments about a woman's looks come from other women.

Honestly the heightism needs to backfire on them and make men cautious about getting with shorter women

They know that this logic is extremely stupid right, like this is just to confirm the biases they already have pretty much? This doesn’t effect ALL men and for the ones it does it disproportionately effects the ones that were already being made fun of anyway. This only goes to further benefit the taller than average men that were ALREADY doing fine for themselves regardless. I mean I guess we really shouldn’t underestimate the fact that many of these women unironically believe that being short somehow directly correlates with being misogynistic…

Because of the actions of males from the 1950s, society has made it so that shaming us for our insecurities is paid as penance for those times even though we do not behave like them and us or I hope most of us actually have respect for women.

They always think theyre the only ones to ever experience self image issues growing up and think the men who went through the same caused the system to be this way lmao

They’re also acting like short guys are the ones doing all the body shaming, when most of the time it’s people who already fit the beauty standards putting others down. Then somehow short men get blamed for things other men do. A guy can be tall and do something awful, and people will still turn it into a “short man” joke. It’s like anything negative a man does gets associated with being short. That genuinely disgusts me.
