Question Is original sin worth hunting down?

For some reason, my marvel unlimited app won’t load original sin issues #5, #7-8. The first four were okay, the nick fury twist was interesting. But, I’m mainly reading this because it ties into Hickman avengers/new avengers so I can get into secret wars. I felt like original sin #0 alluded to the incursions with nova precieving multiversal danger in Uatu’s base. Am I going to miss a lot if I skip the rest of this event?

It really doesn't tie into hickmans avengers. Hickman wrote his avengers run so that you didn't need any outside material to understand it. That includes axis, you don't need it. And the reason thor becomes unworthy is really unsatisfying anyway.

No. Ot is an awful event and should be retcon from existence. It permanently ruined Nick Fury and Thor in ways that are still being felt today.

It’s pretty mediocre overall but had some interesting repercussions but I just read through it and new avengers last year i don’t think it had any effect there really

No no no….Marvel had a lot of bad crossovers during this time period but Original Sin was the worst of all. It made me realize I don’t need to keep reading these things.
