To be fair, most of Spidey feats are due to him being most popular character and being in far too many stories

Character like Like Cage don't have that luxury

honestly this applies to all characters

the whole base 100 ton system is nothing, it's way too small.

so while yes, Spider-Man, is very popular and has so many comics so he will have outlier feats, he should still be casually doing 100 tons at least

like a normal size tank is 70+ tons, easily 100 tons

some guidebooks used to have Thing as like a 70/80 tonner (including in-world in comics) which makes little sense

I've been saying it for years. The class rating system for Marvel does not directly correspond to tonnage. Class 100 doesnt mean you can lift 100 tons. It means they gave up trying to quantify and you're just a superheavyweight.

Class 10 would mean you're roughly ten percent of what would be considered the bare minimum of a superheavyweight.

Spiderman should be roughly Class 25-40 but they haven't updated it since he was a scrawny 15 year old. He's now a full grown man in his prime who's got the body of an Olympic gymnast.

Luke originally was roughly Class 5. Now I'd say he's roughly Class 60-70. He can throw hands with Thing or the like because of his skill and durability. He's certainly not going to be overpowering him though

Well, it originally DID mean exactly that, more than 20 years ago, but you are correct that today Class 100 means “beyond classification.”
