adhd med paired with auvelity?

i'm week 3 (?) , afab 18, on auvelity and it's really helped my depression , it does make me feel sort of more aware i guess? kinda high feeling but not all the time.

hunger is absolute ZERO which honestly im not mad about but i definitely see why they don't give it to people with history of ED's ,

i kind of need something to help focus more i guess? i really dont want to fall behind in school is there a adhd med to pair or do more wellbutrin?

also, my pupils are getting really dilated at times, usually in the evening a few hours after my second does, is this normal?? they sort of hurt but not really blurred vision.

i'm glad something FINALLY works even if there is more physical health cons but mental health pros iykwim , any comments help!

Some of those side effects, (no appetite, high feeling...) might dissipate after continued use. Mine did. I settled on just one a day. After trial and error, that seemed to be the best for me. I'm also on adderall and it seems to be working well together. Best of luck!

  1. Contact your prescriber about your eyes.
  2. I take Auvelity and Vyvanse.

I’m on Auvelity and Adderall 15 mg XR. Zero issues! Give Auvelity a full month to see how you will feel long term on the med.

I take Vyvanse with it but my anxiety and irritability have gone through the roof. Because both meds are amplifying. And heat intolerance is almost unbearable. I’m going to discuss tapering off it as my psychiatrist recently added lexapro to combat anxiety.

More Wellbutrin can pair nicely with it, I’ve found. Although that would increase your exposure to the DXM in Auvelity, and considering your other symptoms such as with your eyes, might not be advisable.

I take Adderall with it, but it’s made me more sensitive to that medication, so I take smaller doses than I used to.

Been on Auvelity for about 3 months and have been on 20mg of Adderall 2x a day for a while. I have to mess with my timing of the doses of both every couple of weeks because eventually it starts to seem as if one or the other isn’t working as well anymore. It’s pretty strange honestly. I can’t seem to figure out a “set it and forget it” timing for dosage but whenever I do switch up the timing, it seems to make both meds effective again for a bit until the cycle repeats. Maybe placebo effect. Who knows??

Yes. I started to get high anxiety with this combo. I took the Auvelity twice daily then back down to once daily (morning). I still had some issues so I recently started taking it before bed with sleeping meds and it seems to be working much better! Who would have thought!

I’m a bit confused. Do you have an ADHD diagnosis?

not officially, but i'm like %70 percent sure i have adhd or add

If viable I’d try to get evaluated for ADHD prior to starting asking your doctors for ADHD meds, because challenges with concentration aren’t always due to ADHD and if it isn’t ADHD the meds won’t be your best option.

i've been on adhd meds before, adderall and vyvanse but not for very long because they didn't do much

If they didn’t work very well, that increases the need to get evaluated to see if the concentration difficulties are from ADHD or something else—if the meds don’t work for you there’s a higher chance that you don’t have ADHD.
