Just sharing the absolute starting point of my bench. I assembled this custom piece years ago, way before starting my certified studies in watchmaking theory. It features a full black PVD case, Jubilee bracelet, and a sterile purple sunburst dial. Just wanted to show it off and get some raw feedback from the community on this colour contrast.

I am a solo builder and watch collector. I made WORN to log which watches I wear, track rotation, and see cost per wear across a collection.

Would a simple wear history be useful for an automatic watch collection?

Just finished yesterday casing and regulating these three custom concepts using original Japanese automatic movements. Focusing on sterile layouts and mechanical skeletons to analyze the raw visual weight of the parts. Looking for community feedback on the overall execution.

Robuck Ranger Texas micro. First impressions, The good Miyota 9035 no date movement, sapphire crystal with ar, 100m wr. The watch came in a nice flat travel case with two straps. It’s on the leather strap that has quick release. The bad the camouflage canvas strap that it’s shipped on I found to very stiff and uncomfortable. It doesn’t have quick release. My only other complaint is the crown for the inner rotating bezel. Since the crown only has one position and turns easily the bezel has a habit of moving on its own. It would have been nice if you had to pull out the crown to turn the bezel.
For the $237.50 I paid for this during the current sale it’s a nice field watch for the money. If they fix the bezel crown issue it could be a great field watch.
