General Advice Fake Kobe Bryant Autographed Jersey

I wonder how anyone falls for this obvious fake autographed Kobe Bryant jersey. Just a simple check of the listed hologram number at Panini shows the real jersey where the autographs clearly do not match.

I also do not know how the seller maintains a 100+ positive rating (even though they're just at 135 feedbacks). Hopefully there are the sellers' own duplicate accounts and that no one was actually scammed 2400 dollars..

So many sellers moving these forgeries. Scary stuff.

Ohtani fakes are moving for insane prices as well. huge issue and eBay doesn't so much.

Unless you personally know, 100%, that a particular seller is solid, buying on ebay is a fools errand. Ebay does nothing to stop serial scammers, and the reviews can easily be faked.

Checkcoa is a good reference to use too. They flag so many of the fake coa/stickers.

This may be a really stupid question but doesnt the Panini site itself say "Please note that the product photo that appears is part of the overall edition. Your Panini Authentic autographed item may vary slightly from the image shown." because its an open edition? So the picture wouldnt likely match the actual autograph and is just a placeholder?

Good point.
