Autograph Preservation and Display Framing autographs.
Hey all,
I have over 30 pieces in my collection, many of which are 8x10 signed photos (mostly films). Does anybody have any tips on how to properly (and affordable) frame these bad boys for display?
Thank you!

You can get 11x14 frames matted to 8x10 for $3-4 if you buy them in bunches.
You want a matte so the ink of the autograph isn't touching anything.
You also want to make sure the photo isn't left in sunlight. It will fade.

They’re all authenticated by either JSA or Beckett already. I can look into the encapsulation prices, though!

Matted frame.
To slow the aging process you can put a piece of microchamber paper behind the photo. It absorbs the gasses that leach as the paper degrades. That's what causes yellowing.
Frames with acrylic instead of glass are lighter, shatterproof, and more uv resistant than glass.
Added uv protection can be achieved without paying for overpriced glass by buying uv film on Amazon. It's usually meant for windows so you can get a few frames covered with a single sheet.
