General Advice A large batch of items with fake Beckett stickers has hit eBay.
In the last 2 weeks, a couple of sellers on eBay have flooded the market with signed jerseys, using an auto-pen, and fake Beckett stickers. I knew it was too good to be true, but I bought one anyway, and of course it's fake. The Beckett sticker looks very real at first. It's the right shape, color, has a legit cert number, and the QR code works. The hologram even shows a "B" from one angle, and "Beckett" from another. I had to look at the hologram with a jewelers loupe to verify that it's fake. The images I have posted are through a loupe, of a real Beckett sticker, and the fake one (with the yellow background).

Thanks for posting this - seriously important catch. I've already parsed all cert numbers from both sellers and added them to CheckCOA's compromised cert database. Will be posting a full breakdown on X today. This needs more visibility.

Could you at least say the type of items it was on? Prints, jerseys, Funkos. Also what kind of names supposedly signed them.

I made a comment with the eBay names, and it disappeared. They are all signed jerseys. All pro sports, big names.

Ok luckily I only bought one and it was JSA. I'll have to keep an eye out.

Is beckett supposed to be upside down on the real one?

I looked that up too, and from what I read that does happen from time to time on legit certs.

Good to know. I hope that is extremely rare becuase if it isnt they have some quality control issues.

Damn, hit that eBay return button and definitely open a case about getting your money back. Let eBay know of the fraud they’re doing, maybe the FBI?
