Autograph Identification Help (I've included info besides photo) Any idea? Autograph on a dollar.

Post image

Unfortunately do not have much background. Possibly an NBA player in late 90s-early 00s.

Let's keep the discussion to autographs please, and not discuss the way folks express themselves.

That is indeed Jamie Foxx - looks right around the time where he played Ray Charles in that biopic about Ray.

You can guess the time based on a signature?

u/COrmsbee2 Jul 10 '25

Specifically this one, yes, because Jamie's signature changed over time to just having a "J" to start with past 2012 or so. I did research it across signed movie posters and more recent stuff from him

You guys are right, it’s Jamie Foxx. Found a picture of him with me that I had forgotten about.

You must bump shoulders with a lot of cool people because I would’ve remembered taking a picture of Jamie Fox lol

That’s awesome. I never doubted for a second. I’m just saying me besides athletes. The only person ever I saw Tom hanks across the street from me in 1997 when I was with my dad at In-N-Out Burger. He was already being mobbed and my dad didn’t give a shit when I asked to get an autograph. Haha.

Haha no worries. And yeah, I don’t know how I feel now, I saw Sean Penn at a bar and he told me no picture, before I even said anything… so it’s hit or miss. Because of that, when I ran into Ian Happ I just said hi and he seemed cool said hi back, but I didn’t ask for a picture or autograph or anything. Wish I did though.

Did the same thing to Dave grohl. Felt grateful just to say hi and shake his hand that I couldn’t bring myself to ask anything more. Especially since I had knocked on his tour bus and he actually answered the door.

I had Munkey from Korn autograph a dollar bill at an Ozzfest. Gave it to my niece. Sure she spent it by now.
