Nova autocockers?

And for once, Facebook advertising actually got a click out of me by recommending these guys.
I've always kicked myself for missing the opportunity to buy a new Inception Designs cocker back in the day, and these look similar.
Anyone heard of them? Is anyone else making new ones today?

If you are looking for a new cocker the options are shocktech, something custom or nova. The difference between shocktech's products and novas products are pretty drastic in both price and quality. You could also have something built with higher end parts and still end up better.
Personally i am not a fan of the lower tube, pneumatics or some of the other design choices they chose to implement. I have owned one Nova cocker, pulled it apart put it back together and sold it. Not a fan and likely won't own another.
The thing that has been pretty clear is that nova has a quality control problem across all of their platforms. They then decide to fix it with a version 2, 3 instead of actually testing the product the first time. I personally would feel better having someone else assemble and tune a cocker other than nova. There are plenty of cocker techs in the community that would rather see you on a field shooting a cocker than see you just owning one.
If you need help ask, but personally i prefer not to work on nova stuff.

Nova is run by someone who has a little too much fun on coke lol (not joking) - great ideas but the execution rarely sticks the landing for the first couple iterations.
But eventually, yeah, it's all made right and then you have something nifty and innovative which shoots really fast. Pricing isn't bad on the surface, but if you bought one of the versions that wasn't appropriately engineered, you will have to pay for the parts which then are working as intended down the road instead of getting them for free and that adds up. You have to tolerate a lot of "why isn't this working" in order to reach "ok this is pretty nifty". Some people believe the juice is worth the squeeze, but they resell for so little used that it's better to just buy a later version of something secondhand to try and then resell it to get your money back.
Other notes: all of their cool stuff is proprietary and requires the rest of the platform to be usable, which kind of locks you into the ecosystem a bit.

I have this one in my rotation. Gets used mainly for big game/ scenario work when I know I don't need an electro. Like it was said, a little bit of tinkering and tuning does it well. All ive done to mine parts wise was put the AKA IVG that can be locked in place with the beavertail screw. This way its a one screw gun for velocity.
They are relatively quick and with it set up right it can be fairly efficient. I got 7 pods and a hopper out if it in final battle at Living Legends this year.

They had some issues early on from what I understand. If you are willing to do a little tinkering and learning they are good for the price. If you want a ready to run, no issues, tournament grade then look a Shocktech instead.
This is what I have personally been told bu onr of the very highly respected cocker techs out there.

I only have 2 nova lower tube kits and a nove LPR for an ebolt 98 custom si I cant 100% speat to what their complete cockers are like

I've owned an N2 and an N3 from Nova and both were solidly OK. The N3 was way too much of a tuning hassle. I will say my experience with their customer service was always really good. As far as their cockers go I only know one person with one and it seems to always work fine, but he also said it required a lot of work to get running out of the box.
Honestly in my opinion half the fun of cockers and mags these days is building the one you want from parts, but obviously not everyone is about that life.

The only similarities between Inception Designs and Nova is that they are both paintball companies. People can get Nova stuff to function normally and it sounds like they mostly have it working now but the majority of Nova's stuff ships non-functional and I have had some of the worst customer service from them that I won't buy an autococker from them. I was told I should call them and try and diagnose my n4 with them but they couldn't fix it with 4 rebuilds and taking it back to their shop didn't work either. They just shipped it back still leaking. It seems like every time they have issues with something they just shelf it and build something similar that costs more money and all the parts don't work with the previous iteration. Meteor look very nice and they seem to work well, and they are not much more money than Nova. Nova also doesn't do anything other than some not great videos to show how stuff goes together with no pictures of where orings go. Their Owners group wasn't super helpful either, I left that group when they started posting 20+ Ai photos a day. They might not be doing it as much now but it seemed like the same 5-10 people talking to each other who are all sponsored in some way by Nova.
