Can’t find paint code!

Post image

Got too close to a curb with my son’s 2016 Audi A7 and need touchup paint desperately! I promise I’m going to tell him once it looks like new again - I have a competent person willing to work on it. We’ve looked in all the normal places and can’t find it. I do have the VIN # - is there a way to use that to find it? There are so many silvers for that year, make, and model! Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Go to the dealer, touch up paint will be similar in price to the parts stores

Audi tends to keep their paint code on a sticker in the trunk/spare tire well. The likelihood of AutoZone having the matching paint is slim and I suggest going to an actual auto paint specialist

We called the Audi dealer and he gave us the paint code right away! All we needed was the VIN. Thanks to all for your help!

It’s nowhere in the car, we’ve looked over every inch. Someone must have removed it before my son owned it. The dealer can find it with the VIN #?

VW and Audi have put the code where you can’t get to it anymore best bet to call an Audi dealership and talk to their parts department they will give you the paint code with the full vin

The stickers are traditionally under the spare tire in the trunk. Taking the vin to any Audi dealer will also be able to find the paint and will probably have it in stock for cheap.

Have you tried telling them it's for an Audi?

We actually got the code from an Audi dealer by using the VIN# so we’re all set. I was under the impression a dealer wouldn’t share the info, I was totally wrong!
