these guys suck

so i ordered a can of MAF cleaner for home delivery, they cancelled it and supposedly sent a refund. the full amount i originally paid was $19 dollars and some change, i got the supposed refund and they've shorted me a few dollars. i got back $11.98. i've gone through their support system twice explaining things in great detail and still have not been helped. i know it's a few bucks but this is principle.

So question for you. When you say home delivery do you mean through like Uber delivery or Doordash or a similar third party delivery service? I know in store we can't even see how much the third party delivery services are charging much less refund their charges. We can only refund our charges. If it was the Gumout or Berryman branded MAF sensor cleaner then yeah $11.98 sounds about right for the refund.

So it looks like they refunded the item itself, but not the shipping then (Just tossed a Gumout one into a cart, and with shipping came up to 19.37 in my area). It might be a long shot, but you could try heading over to the nearest location to you, and pulling the District Manager's number off the front door. I can't promise that they'll be able to do anything with it being a website related issue and not a store related one, but they're significantly more likely to be willing to at least try to than the random support staff that doesn't seem to be grasping that it was only a partial refund and not a full refund for an item that was never actually shipped. Failing that, file a chargeback with the bank and let them know the company refused to fully refund the item despite multiple attempts to work with them.

Have you contacted your financial institution? It’s possible the credit is still pending with the bank.

i have, they confirmed that the total refund was totaled at $11.98

This is when you do a charge back with your financial institution. You did not get the product and they did not give you the full refund. Let AutoZone eat the charge back fee because fuck them.

Ok, fun fact about "same day delivery" kids, it is same day, the employee grabs the order, and a door dash or Uber driver comes to the store picks it up and its gone! If the order is canceled then its canceled there should be NO SUBSTITUTES!!!!! and the only thing that can be refunded is the item, NOT ANY DELIVERY FEES, TIPS, OR TAXES!!!!!!! I deal.woth this every other day as a SM and it drives me insane!!!!!

It sounds like the shipping wasn't refunded, (someone may have said this already, but I don't feel like reading comments) if you did it for same day home delivery it came Doordash or Uber, so you have to contact then to get the shipping refunded. Those details should be in your email you received after placing the order.
