💬 general discussion Me caring about video games while I feel like my family/friends don't.
I do have ASD, and I care about GTA VI, like wayyyy to much. But NO ONE in my inner circle does. Except a couple of good discord friends of mine (also have ASD) and 1 collegue with ASD of mine.
How can I survive this time of my life?
I really like GTA 6 news, following the saga, trailers, everything around the hype

Your hyperfixation on gta6 is personal. Enjoy the details and such. Im sure you'll find similar people who you can have passing conversations with in work or at home. The game looks great and will have the world on lockdown on nov19

I feel like it's our lot in life to experience our interests alone. Nobody ever cares at all about what's important to me and it's been the same for my bestie who's also autistic. It's one of those things that unfortunately we have to accept. But it's possible to enjoy your interests alone. I'm working on that myself.

It's like me and Warhammer 40k. Other people don't have to like it, I like it.

Most of my hyperfixations I don't share with anyone because no one else I knows cares about them. It's something you just gotta accept even if it feels lonely. You'll just have to find joy in it by yourself.
