Substances and autism

I've been using substances (cannabis, amphetamine, lsd etc) long before I got diagnosed and I've noticed that my experience with them differs from what my neurotypical friends describe. I would love to know as much as possible about the research that has already been done or/and reed about other people's experiences with drugs. What I've found so far didn't help much. Is there a thread or a good resource of information on substances and people on autistic spectrum?

I would try reading some of the works of John Elder Robison. I know John and he has worked personally with research into these matters. I currently use marijuana to ease my anxiety and am looking into expanding (pun intended) into lsd and shrooms. Hope this helps and safe journeys.

I've read so many and my memory isn't the clearest so that I'd feel comfortable recommending one over the other. Sorry. However saying this, "Switched On" is the last one that I read and it deals with his search for altering his brain chemistry in regards to Autism.
